Anyone else think indoor shows sound better in smaller venues?

I saw this indie band at the Parish last week and the acoustics were amazing. Bigger venues are cool for the energy, but smaller spots just hit different sound-wise. Anyone else feel that?

Bad Omens - 'DO YOU FEEL LOVE' Tour (Full Uncut Set + Encore) - Toronto - 03/06/26

I've been looking for a community where I can share this recording outside of the Bad Omens sub. This looks like the right place for it!

If you enjoy this, I have a few more full uncut live recordings and I'm planning on getting more throughout 2026.

Welcome To The Machine (live in Nassau 1988)

Welcome To The Machine (live in Nassau 1988)

One of those songs that definitely brought me to the Floyd's world when I was still a child, with all that incredible energy from Rick Wright from the keyboards, a true surrealist trip. Happy Easter everyone.

That Time I Saw Jack White, Outkast and Tons More at Governors Ball 2014

You ever look at the lineup of a music festival you went to and years later go "Wait... THEY played that weekend?! How did I miss that?!" I could honestly say that about half the lineup of Governors Ball at Randall's Island in 2014. Maybe it's because I skipped the third day, or missed earlier acts because getting to and from Randall's Island was the definition of a pain in the ass. I do remember being blown away while discovering Deafheaven and Diarrhea Planet during their respective sets. The thing most remember though - the first two days' headliners, Outkast and Jack White (and how shockingly close I got to the stage for both).

Seeing Outkast during their festival reunion run was pure nostalgia fun. But seeing Jack White was on a whole other level of awesomeness. There's a reason why he leaves everyone in awe while on stage. My only regret was leaving his set a little early (again, Randall's Island was a pain in the ass) and not taking more videos and photos of his set (or if I did, not saving them in a safe place, ha).

Stay tuned for more things to come from this space (including stories from music festivals and concerts like this)!

[KCRW] Paul McCartney at the Fonda show review

Macca’s two-night run at the Fonda was a masterclass in performance, but also indicative of LA’s unique weight as the world capital of showbiz.
