"If he wanted to, he would"

Has anyone else heard this? This would often be posted passive-aggressively at me after I would not do something that was either very inconvenient or borderline impossible.

If I would choose to take a break at work to eat lunch rather than talk on the phone the entire time, I would be publicly shamed for it. If I would not drive to the store at 4 AM because said person wanted a cherry coke but also did not want to drive, I would be shamed for it.

I wish the new mental health trend on social media was "how to find a therapist" and not "how to control your partner through guilt and shame"

I was unsure of what kind of winged creature was flying above my domicile. Thanks to Jim E. Brown, I now know what it is.

In the lyrics to "I Saw a Bird Today" by the always inspirational and illustrious Jim E. Brown, he describes a bird thusly:

*Birds are nice

*birds are fun

*They like to walk

*they like to run

*They like to fly

*they come from eggs

*They have wings

*they have legs

If you are also confused about birds, please listen to this song to help easily identify them. If they have all of the traits mentioned above, you can guarantee that it is a bird.

I would share screenshots here but I don't want to identify them or possibly subject them to harassment (i doubt anyone here would do that), but trust me when I say that it is completely incoherent. She has also been trying to be some sort of female empowerment guru for a while, but from what I gather this business is something that involves a green screen, generative AI, and... nerf guns? Marketed towards children's birthday parties and other events where kids will be present?

The thing is, while we were together, she had her own child taken by the state and placed into the foster system for reasons that are still unclear to me (always somebody else's fault) and I live in a state where it is generally difficult to separate a child from their mother even with clear evidence of abuse and neglect. I do know that she was fucking MEAN to this kid when I saw them interact.

I do not understand these people. Why do they want to cosplay as somebody who enjoys being a parent when they can't stand to be around kids? And furthermore, why do so many of them want to be social media influencers?

Did anyone else catch them on their tour with Cold Cave? It was a great show from everyone involved. I was impressed by Rosa Anschutz - an artist I've never heard of, and Buzz Kull killed it. I wasn't expecting to like Cold Cave but man, they were fantastic live and I'll be diving into their music more thoroughly.

And then Xymox. What the hell? I'd assumed everybody was complaining about them using generative AI for promotional material, which is still cringe, but no, they had a screen playing AI videos in sequence with their music for the entire performance. It was distracting and man, I hated it.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
