While I like the overall look of Operative 'Gunslinger' is is my first time painting such a bright model - or teal in general - so I'm open for comments and criticism.

Iron Within, Corsair Without

This themed squad of Legionaries is the latest addition to my growing army. It's the first of four themed squads I'm currently building, representing different aspects of Chaos Marines. These former Iron Warriors represent the bitter but disciplined veterans of a forgotten age.

They will get some cleanup and additional detailing when I'm done basing the army, but I really like how they turned out.

I'm building a Red Corsairs warband and while most models are simply 'modern' renegades I want to include the shown models into my army representing remnants of three heresy era Legions.

Without any other information I'd like to know what you see in them; do they give away their origins?

If anyone has any suggestions how to salvage this, I'm all ears.

I do like the lightning effects though. Half decent for a first-timer.

Two days ago I posted him just assembled, now he's painted. Before finishing the mantle and some details, I'll now try to not ruin the head... wish me luck.

Since furs and pelts are the latest fashion trend in the Maelstrom region, I needed a fitting Sorcerer.

Using a Wolf Priest, some cutting and simple modifications make for a nice model. At first I wanted a force sword, but that staff grew on me; gives him a regal look.
