Warhammer 40,000 BoltGun runs great on Ayn Odin 3 Max

Been trying to make this game work on my device and I finally got it working great. it can run 120fps on unlocked framerates when there are no enemies around but it will dip when there are enemies. locking it to 60 fps will make it smoother and the dips become very rare. submitted the report to emuready so that you can use it, too if you want.
Here's the settings report I submitted to emuready:
Emulator : GameHub
Emulator Version : v5.3.5
Native Rendering+ : Disabled
Game Resolution : 1280 x 720
Disable Graphics Enhancement Plugin: Yes
Compatability Layer: proton10.0-arm64x-2
Translation Parameters : Extreme
DInput Library: Prefer Native
Skip Audio/Video Decode: No
GPU Driver: turnip_v26.2.0_b1
Surface Format: RGBA8
Audio Driver: Pulse
VKD3D Version: vkd3d-2.12
DXVK Version: dxvk-2.3.1-async
CPU Translator: Fex_20250910
CPU Core Limit: No Limit
VRAM Limit: No Limit
if the uploaded video is difficult to play here on reddit, I uploaded it too on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGvKFOgw7E0) and it might be much clearer there. There is no sound on the video. I was using the Odin 3's own screen recording and somehow it didn't record the video when I selected to include the device audio to record.

Kapton tape instead of fishpaper and my RG35XX SP has never been cooler in my hands

I haven’t had any real problem with my device as it ran beautifully except when I installed muOS and ever since, it felt warm or hot in the back when I play PSX or PSP games, so I searched for a solution for it. That’s how I learned I got the version 1 RG35XX SP so there was nothing between the chip and the battery. Version 2 had fishpaper in-between and I don’t know what it is but it’s a fix Anbernic put in place.

Went shopping for fishpaper but local hardware shops don’t have it. Went shopping online and learned about Kapton tape and how it’s a better insulation solution and opted to order that instead. It’s 3 times more costly than fishpaper (1usd for a roll) but the ones I found were tall rolls and I don’t really have somewhere to keep it around so kapton tape it is (it’s still cheap, only 3usd for a roll).

I applied the kapton tape as shown, then played for about three hours with Metal Slug, Tekken 6, and some PS1 RPGs. The device never felt warm or hot. I love it.

Edit: I transferred the kapton tape onto the back of the battery instead of on the board and chip. Same performance, feeling of less warmth on my hands and internal temps as kapton tape on board.

I’m switching back to modded stockOS as I haven’t finished testing it to compare to muOS and plan to playtest my device in direct sunlight. My work involves travelling everyday in the sun for hours on a motorcycle. I’m hoping those guys who got the version 2 (or applied fishpaper after they got their v1 device) are having a similar experience. The SP has become my favorite EDC even more that I made customizations as it felt more my own.
And I own an Ayn Thor that I also bring everyday with my SP.

I haven’t tested the other cores yet but Metal Slug seems zippier on the updated stock mod. Got tired of muOS bugging out every other two days and the sleep function still didn’t satisfy me there. Some more observations:
- still don’t know why I can’t find DraStic Legacy core or why I can’t use it since it works the fastest for me on muOS. I’ll have to get used to the one “inhouse” core in modded stock.
- still no color settings unlike muOS. I was really happy with the darker colors I set on my muOS.
- patch notes said it removed PortMaster but it’s still there and there’s a patch offered within the Software Center. Used it, now Apotris works better now unlike last time where there was no music.
- Game Center is still there. :P
- sleep function on it really really gave my mind some peace.
- I need to test it more but I think my RG35XX SP runs cooler on this updated stock mod. Unlike muOS where sometimes it felt warm.
Overall, I think I’m happier right now with this modded stock compared to a few hours ago with muOS. Will keep this for a few weeks though I keep two SD cards and the other one is my muOS card and will switch from time to time to check if I’m really happy with this.

Loved my RG35XX SP since it arrived and burned thru all 150 CC tracks on Mario Kart in less than a day and I'm now just playing balloon fights with bots. Any other DS games that I can play with just one screen and negligible touch controls like Mario Kart DS?

Showing some love for my rainbow Thor. Replaced the caps with some 3D prints I ordered from a Chinese maker in Lazada (site similar to alibaba) here in the Philippines for 300 PHP(about 6 USD). Will print some black and white stickers for the back and waiting for a clear case.
My phone use has been down from 11 hours a day to 5 hrs a day and it’s just for work (and the camera because I love taking pictures of the Thor and my RG35XX SP. and my human family. Sometimes) Brain feels much healthier. I play mostly Steam games and the games I have on Cocoon are mostly just showcases I show my friends except for Mario Kart 7 which I finished all 150 cc tracks in a day. I lost my Pikachu 3DS from way back but I still have my 3DS cards and I found Retro Game Corps on my feed so I got tempted into ordering a Thor last month. Bought from a third party because I got too giddy. Russ is such a salesman for this thing but absolutely no regrets. Never felt so much enjoyment in my gaming hobby for years. Years!!!
