Motherboard Selection Recommendation for 9950x3D

Hello everyone !

I have asked a detailed question a few days back and done lots of research. Still not sure which to pick, so a help is appreciated!

My setup currently :

5070Ti

9950x3D

Lexar ares 2 x 32 gb cl36 6000 mhz

Lian li ga II lite

ASUS TUF GT-501 Case

MSI A850G 850W Gold Modular PSU

2 X SAMSUNG 990 PRO M2 SDDs (4 TB and 2 TB)

1 X SAMSUNG 980 PRO M2 SSD (1 TB)

So, I've came to these motherboards for the final pick but there still differences and negative feedbacks for almost all the models (except TOMAHAWK) :

- GIGABYTE X870E Aorus Master

- GIGABYTE X870E Aorus Master x3D

- GIGABYTE X870E A PRO X

- GIGABYTE X870E AERO X3D (this is great expect being 60A limit shown on Kleo Yan's video)

- MSI x870e TOMAHAWK Wifi

- Asus ROG STRIX x870e-e gaming wifi

I have set the setup heavily for workstation purposes. I'm an Architect and working as 3D Artist and Level Designer for games (mainly using it for ArchViz, VR (build), baking and Unreal Engine 5 (lightbakes may required). It's a possibility to use rendering for longs hours so GIGABYTE may be a better choice for that (for 6-8 hours bake/render time may needed) therefore, people from Reddit and Claude suggested I have to use x870e system.

Audio quality is important for me. I've always used Asus as my motherboard brand for years. Currently they're so expensive right now when you want something premium.

I've done lots of research and watched the YouTube videos that are recommended. (Tierlist video and also Hardware Unboxed's video (YouTube) I've found also Kleo Yan (YouTube). I've asked to Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT (Claude found the best details with updated infos honestly) (also checked Tom's Hardware aswell)

Yet I've seen some people saying Asus and Asrock is/was harmful for AM5 chipsets, Gigabyte's bios is clunky, Tomahawk (almost no errors and has dual bios to protect) yet not so superb considering Tomahawk has 80A (while Aorus Master and Carbon have 110A VRM protection) on the other hand Tomahawks lane system is better than Carbon ironically. I've read Aorus Master and Carbon might be more robust compared to the others.

It's like all brands didn't put the all great features on purpose. Audio is newer on Tomahawk (ALC4080) (and tests on Hardware Unboxed's video shows Tomahawk is one of the best for audio though) on the other hand many others have ALC1220 and/or 1220+ + DAC. Aorus Master is generally built better for long durability and saw a post that one guy suggests x3D versions brought a better lane system on the other hand some think that x3D being not helpful but the opposite. (Also they claim it's just a marketing tactic)

I honestly again couldn't be sure which to pick.

Prices in my country

- Tomahawk (450 dollars) (80A)

- Aorus Aero X3D (400 dollars yet 60A) (currently there's a discount, normally they're about 500 dollars)

- Aorus Master (480 dollars)

- Aorus pro x (462 dollars)

- Aorus Master x3D (620 dollars)

- Asus strix x870e-e (595 dollars)

- Aorus Pro X (573 dollars)

So, which one would you pick if you were in this situation or trying to setup a build.

Hello guys !

I have read tons of reddit posts and watched some YouTube comparison videos (Tierlists) before sharing this, and honestly a bit confused, but I really need your help !

My Setup is currently :

- NVIDIA GALAX HOF RTX 5070 Ti

- Lexar ARES 2nd Gen RGB 64GB (2x32GB) 6400MHz CL32 Intel XMP 3.0 – AMD EXPO DDR5 Heatsink Ram

- AMD Ryzen 9 9950x3D

- 3 x M2 SSDs (2x1 TB NVM2 and 1x4TB NVM2 SSDs)

- ASUS TUF GT501 Case (No, I don't plan to change that but open for Recommendations)

- MSI PSU MPG A850G 850W 80 PLUS GOLD ACRIVE PFC FULL MODULAR

- And I'll get a Liquid Cooler sometime (I'm awaiting the components right now and probably will go for Arctic Freezer III Pro 360 mm)

I will use this setup %90 for 3D modeling, Unreal Engine 5 and Renderings (Architect and 3D Environment Artist for games) maybe %10 for Games. Audio is really important to me (Coming from an ASUS AM4 B550M-A and it was really good considering listening to Music)

So I need your help for recommendation as Motherboard. I am quite split between B850 / X870 and X870E motherboards, mainly on :

- Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite WIFI7

- GIGABYTE AMD AM5 ATX X870E AORUS MASTER

- GIGABYTE AMD AM5 ATX X870E AORUS MASTER x3D (Honestly way too expensive)

- GIGABYTE AMD AM5 ATX X870E PRO X

- MSI Mag X870e Tomahawk

- MSI MAG X870e Tomahawk MAX PZ (Gemini says my Case does not fit the requirements for this card) but yet I would like to ask

- MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk Wi-Fi

- Asus Rog Strix x870e-e

I have found these only so far as the top motherboards (Also from some tier-list YouTube videos)

I have seen some people advises B850/ x870e Tomahawk while some goes against that as saying MSI ruins 9900x series (Also saw some comments on issues with BIOS, Audio and Network issues), on the other hand people finds MSI better than Gigabyte and ASUS.

Considering these, which one would you recommend (Also considering your experience with these brands and models) and also other than AsRock, I am open for other recommendations aswell. Thanks a lot in advance.
