I’ve been struggling a lot with making new connections lately. I feel like I just don’t really click with most people, especially those who don’t experience emotions as intensely.
I crave close, consistent connections. I tend to get attached, I like talking often, and I feel safe with people who are similar in that sense. But a lot of the time I end up meeting people who are more distant or avoidant, and it just makes everything harder for me.
I’m not looking for anything unhealthy or codependent, just people who understand what it’s like to feel things deeply and who don’t disappear or pull away when things get a bit intense.
Have any of you found ways to meet people who are more emotionally available or “clingy” in a healthy way? Or just people you can genuinely connect with?
