I didn't ride (had only a few rides) him in a few years... He is mine, but I didn't feel secure enough after such a long break.
My friend helped me boost my confidence by giving me lunge rides ❤️
I had a recurring check engine light for a while, OBDII said it's something with catalytic converter. I planned to get it checked out soon.
My friend noticed that I am "choking" the engine by having too low RPMs when driving: the car was often jerking around when shifting, felt "stubborn" to accelerate and fast to slow down and overall unpleasant.
On Saturday, I started trying to get higher RPMs when driving, and eureka! Choking stopped! I didn't get the check engine light since Saturday, at all, and I had it few times a day sometimes...
I've read it's called "lugging" and that having too low RPMs can surely cause check engine light, but I want to ask: what do You think? Did I really manage to overcome this issue?
