Plyometrics help
I have been doing plyometrics and weight lifting for about 1 year now, I went from not being able to touch the the rim to a 36 inch vertical. Right now I'm doing my routine about twice a week and it looks like this: 50 box jumps, 50 seated jumps from a bench to the box, 50 depth jumps off the bench onto the box, and 50 broad jumps. For the box I use a 30 inch bc thats the tallest one I have.
So my question is is my workout optimal? Any tips would help. I also wanted to know if I should start holding weights, like ankle weights, a weight vest, or dumbbells bc its getting kind of easy, or should I make it harder In a different way bc I have heard that adding weight when doing plyometrics will just build strength instead of helping me build fast twitch muscle fibers and get more explosive.( I also do strength training and weight lifting 3 other times a week.)
