Grand Canyon South Rim (trails suggestions)

Plan to see the Grand Canyon (South rim) on Sunday 3rd May with family, who are beginner hikers (so beginner/easy hikes recommendations please). Plan to spend about 3-4 hours here, what would you guys suggest we do?

Is it simple case of parking my car at the parking lot, then on foot for the rest? Or do I need to park at different locations if I wish to do different trails/viewpoints?

Purchasing the "America the Beautiful Annual Pass" for Zion/Grand Canyon

Hi,

I'm a UK resident (travelling with 4 people including myself), planning on visiting both Zion National Park and The Grand Canyon early May 2026. I've read there is a $100 fee per person if you wanted to visit 11 of the names National Parks (which Zion and Grand Canyon falls under).

I did read (https://www.nps.gov/aboutus/nonresident-fees.htm) I can purchase the "America the Beautiful Annual Pass" for $250 and it says:

>(pass covers the entire vehicle, or 2 motorcycles, or the passholder plus three additional adults in their party (where per-person rather than per-vehicle fees are charged).

Then I read somewhere it says:

>Regardless of the year issued, all valid America the Beautiful Passes and park-specific annual passes will cover entrance fees and nonresident fees for the pass holder and passengers in a private vehicle or on two motorcycles. At sites that charge per person, all valid America the Beautiful Passes and park-specific annual passes will cover entrance fees and nonresident fees for the pass holder and three additional adults.

So my assumption is if I purchase the "America the Beautiful Annual Pass" for $250. This should cover the entrance fee for all 4 people, and help avoid us paying the $100 non-resident fee? This applies to both Zion and Grand Canyon, so effectively paying $250 to see both parks for a party of 4 people? Or have I misunderstoof something here.
