1/24 Drifter with Electronic?

Hey everyone, I’m currently looking for a 1:24 scale RC drift car to use indoors (mainly in my apartment), but I’m struggling to find something that’s actually decent quality. Most of what I come across looks like cheap toy-grade stuff (Amazon-type products), but I’m really looking for something a bit more “serious” or hobby-grade. Ideally: - 1:24 scale - Suitable for indoor drifting - Pre-built / RTR (ready-to-run) - Electronics already installed (motor, ESC, servo, gyro if possible) - Decent driving characteristics (not just powersliding) Does something like this even exist in this scale? Or is 1:24 still mostly DIY / kit territory? I’ve seen some higher-end chassis options, but they often require buying and installing all electronics separately, which I’d prefer to avoid if possible. Would really appreciate any recommendations or insights—especially from people actually drifting indoors at this scale. Thanks!

Widemaxx vs. Sledge

Hey everyone,

this question has probably been asked a million times already, but I’m currently stuck deciding between the Traxxas WideMaxx V2 and the Sledge.

I just can’t seem to make up my mind. On one hand, I really like the size, agility, and “basher” feel of the Maxx, but the Sledge looks like an absolute beast in terms of power and stability.

For those of you who have experience with one or both: what would you recommend and why?

Is the Sledge worth the extra size and 6S power, or is the Maxx V2 the better all-around basher?

I’d mainly use it for bashing, some jumps, and general fun (no racing).

Any input or personal experiences would be really appreciated!

Micro Drifter ?

I’m looking for a proper RC drift car for indoor use (living room), something smaller than 1:10 (ideally 1:24–1:28) — but not cheap toy-grade stuff.

My background is in fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, so I’m not new to RC in general, but I don’t have much experience specifically with drift cars yet.

What I’m looking for:

- RWD (for proper drift behavior)

- Gyro (for stable countersteering)

- preferably hobby-grade / upgradeable

- RTR is fine, but I’m totally okay with kit or ARTR if that’s where the good stuff is

Budget isn’t the main concern — I’m more interested in what actually works well at this scale, not something that just does powerslides.

Are there any solid platforms or builds you’d recommend in this size range?
