TikTok lingo in very serious situations.

For the love of god stop saying “🍇ed, SAed, unalived, pewpew, etc” it completely undermines the severity of whatever situation you’re talking about.

That 14 year old girl wasn’t 🍇ed and unalived. She was raped and murdered. Say it.

It also makes me furious knowing that the creators of videos that use these buzzwords use them so they are able to make money off whatever they are talking about, and the platforms only want to push genocide and war content but nothing else negative.

This was brought up because of the Celeste Rivas Hernandez case and the bottom feeding scum who are trying to get views and engagement from what happened to her. Grow up people, if you’re going to talk about something real and impactful, use real and impactful words. Thanks.

Small edit: I don’t specifically mean tiktok, I mean how tiktok kind of popularized the use of these words. I remember watching true crime stuff in high school and people weren’t afraid to say “sexually assaulted, murdered, etc”

Extremely similar “feeling” as Preachers Daughter

I’ve had this album on repeat since it came out last year. Gives the same kind of “southern small town” vibe as a lot of Hayden’s music. If you’re going to give it a try I recommend Elderberry Wine first and see how you like it. Hope yall like it

When mods remove posts for being “too similar” to other posts.

I search the sub for keywords, do research on the topic before I make a post (especially when it’s a sub that gets a lot of traffic) and when I notice there either isn’t very many or ZERO posts about something, I’ll make a post.

Why do I post a link to something that hasn’t been posted in a sub ever, it gets removed for being “too similar to other posts”?

How can that be possible when it hasn’t been posted at all before? I’ve posted a couple times in a specific sub and 90% of the time it gets removed and it won’t make any sense.

Pretty annoying, especially when the sub is used to discuss things that are on going, you’re going to have “similar posts”

Favorite lyric for tattoo inspiration!

Would everyone mind sharing their favorite lyrics? I’m wanting to get a tattoo and I’m leaning towards just getting lettering but I’m not opposed to making som kind of image out of the lyrics! Thanks in advance!

Thoughts on “get what you get” machines

Looking into shops in the city I’m traveling to in a few months and it has on of those gum ball machines and I’m just curious how people feel about the “get what you get” gum ball machines?

I have 2 and I like them, but I’ve seen a couple designs that are really odd looking. Idk just wondering

Filler help?

Sorry for the worst photos in human history but I need design advice. I get tattoos whenever I travel, and I’m leaving on a trip in a few weeks and am trying to decide if I should get a new piece, or get some filler done.

I don’t really like the American traditional style of filler, the dots, stars, etc but I don’t really know what else I would get. Also, is the space between the flail and the dragon big enough for a small trad tattoo? Or just fills?

Perverts makes me depressed and I love it.

Currently sitting in a dark room with a small tv playing a vhs with Perverts playing a smidgen too loud.

I feel depressed, dejected, melancholy, and like there is no hope for the world.

And I love it. How’s everyone’s weekend going?

Downvotes on relevant responses.

It just doesn’t make sense. I’m in a sub about North Korea (don’t ask) and someone posted asking if there was anywhere to watch North Korean movies. I have an archive bookmarked, so I copied the url and posted it in the comments.

Why am I getting downvoted for that? It’s just a downvote who cares, but it’s literally exactly what the person was asking about, so why downvote it? That doesn’t make sense.

It’s not just the NK sub either; there’s plenty of times I comment on stuff that is specifically related to the original post and I’ll get downvoted to smithereens and I’m just like ??? why?

I know it’s stupid and pointless, it just rubs me the wrong way.

I have a 16 year old niece who is pregnant and the father is a 15 year old boy. I know there’s a lot of layers to how this situation will be handled by the state and cps and whatnot, but I need advice on helping her.

I am 27, and my brother (her father) is 35 years old and a well off self-employed artist. Not a millionaire by any means, but he does well for himself. Her mother is 34 I believe and works at a Taco Bell and lives with her parents. Her mother isn’t able to help her financially, and my brother refuses to. Not only does my brother refuse to help her, but my mother who basically raised my niece, also refuses to help her. Neither of them have helped her with any sort of aid paperwork or assistance. My wife and I have been giving my niece money to pay for baby stuff as well as just buying her things she needs. We are financially stable and 110% willing to help, but I’m not sure if I am enabling my mom and brother to not help.

Should I stop helping her with the hope of someone stepping in? I would never let her or her baby go without food or shelter, but she’s been asking for money to buy (what I think) is frivolous things. Any and all advice is welcome!

Edit: She is currently 30 weeks pregnant, she told at least me at 27 weeks, too late for an abortion.

Everyone in our lives except her very religious grandma has suggested adoption and she is not receptive to it, and we can’t make her.

My wife and I have offered to adopt and take care of the child and she doesn’t want to entertain that either. She takes every outreach as an attack and it’s really hard to talk to her about what will happen in a few short weeks.
