Regret of tattooing this

I’m 20 and got my first tattoo a year ago. It’s based off of a fucking Post Malone phrase he said. I don’t even listen to Post Malone honestly. Currently I think the tattoo is VERY corny. At the same time I think that, at some point, it made sense to me, so I’m kinda divided between these 2 thoughts.

You guys think I should cope or cover/redesign it?

If you think I should cover it, do you guys have any suggestion to uncorny this? (please don’t suggest big tattoos cause I dont like them)

Is this a bad tattoo design?

I had a miscarriage last year and want a tattoo for my baby I never got to meet.

I only have one picture of my baby (the second picture)

I’d really like to get it tattooed like the reference picture but I want honesty.. would it be a bad design since there’s not a clear profile and small?

I have other ideas as well but I really love this one as the picture is special to me.

And you can be honest without comments like “that’s not a baby” etc… that’s not helpful. Thank you.

Is this standard for this tattoo?

A tattoo artist told my girlfriend he had to apply shop minimum for both the swirl and the wording on this tattoo. It’s the same piece, so is it normal for the shop minimum to be applied to both aspects of the one tattoo?

BTW: this picture I attached is only a reference picture. My girlfriend is seeking advice before she goes through with getting the tattoo.

Was this the worst tattoo idea I could have ever had?

it's called Hannya Solo. No complaints about the line work or artist abilities but I probably could have found a better pun to make than this one. Cover up or own my stupidity?

I've been told this looks bad but not why, please be honest

not even 2 days old but I'm super happy with it aside from a few spots that I'll get touched up. been told it looks bad but no reasoning why. Probably won't affect my thoughts on it as again, it's what I wanted and i like it but what's supposed to be bad?

Are the lines in this tattoo too fine?

I just got my first tattoo ever yesterday. I absolutely love it, but I am worried about how it'll heal/age. I've always known I don't want fine line tattoos despite liking how they look because of how they age. I felt that this was bold enough that it'd be okay.

I know I might be overthinking because it's my first tattoo, but I'm suddenly anxious and wondering if it is too fine and if it's just going to turn into a blob.

First pic is right after it was done, second is now (26 hours later). It's on my mid thigh.

Concerned about Nazi symbols?

I see a lot - too many - posts about people concerned about Nazi symbolism, and as a tattooer of 14+ years who has been around Nazis, and racist skinheads, and other deplorable kinds of people, I am here to tell you that they are not quiet or cheeky with their symbols. they are loud.

there are many databases on the internet to let you know what is or is not a hate symbol. that's your best guide.

your hyena is not a Nazi symbol. your lightning bolt is not a Nazi symbol. your skull isn't either. I will also tell you that if you don't look like a Nazi, people aren't going to think you're a Nazi. I am a bald, white man with a red beard and runes tattooed on my fingers. no one has ever accused me of looking like a white supremacist because I simply don't have *the vibe.*

educate yourself on hate symbols. figure out what they are and aren't, and then get your tattoo.

1st tattoo after years of wanting. Artist off for Easter and on Mondays…. Early Saniderm leak

I got the tattoo this past Friday, finished in the evening after 5 hours. Love the work. Was advised to keep the Saniderm on for 3-5 days. Honestly the plasma and ink leaching did not look bad at all. Well Easter morning at 5 am it leaked so I hopped in the shower and removed it and started the Dial soap and moisturizer as directed. Standing pic is immediately after and other closer up pic is right now. Anything I should look out for in the next day or two? Sorry if this has been asked too much.

Best recourse?

I got this tattoo last night with a dear friend while they're in town. Theirs is amazing in comparison to mine. The artist says they can fix it but i really want to have another artist fix it after it heals.

I'm not a tattoo artist so Im not familiar with the specifics, but does the color of your skin determine the size of the needle when it comes to fine lines? Ive got other smaller tattoos done that have fine lines so I'm a lil confused. Fine line or not, it's not close to the stencil.

Looking for Cover-up or fix ideas!

I fell for the trap of cheap flash at a tattoo place/concert venue I was playing last week. As any smart person would expect, it turned out pretty badly. The proportions (at least imo) are fucked, and there seems to be some blowout in the lower lines. The tattoo is on my ribs, just below my nipple. Any advice for what may be a good coverup (without interfering with the tattoo below it), or could this be salvaged?

Do you have any advice about getting a memorial tattoo?

I lost a grandparent recently and I have been considering getting a memorial tattoo since before the passing.

Any advice, suggestions, experiences are welcome. Thanks!

Tattoo healing

I’d like to get a tattoo like this but was wondering how they heal years down the line as I am fearful that they may become blotchy or fade away

General Opinions and concerns

Hi! I’m a senior at high school and recently have been delving into tattoos. Currently I have 3. I’m a HUGE 40K fan and have been nothing but for the past few years. I’ve been gaming also for the longest while and haven’t really stopped since I was 5 when I started with Skylanders on a Wii.

Recently I’ve gotten 2 new tattoos on my upper arms in mock of a space marine’s shoulder pads-their respective group marking on the left shoulder, their status on the right. However, I had been relentlessly teased by a buddy of mine for it being quite similar to some of the most disgusting political parties in our history.

For reference, The Lion is from Destiny;my family coat of arms has a lion rampant, and my homebrew space marine chapter has that as their icon. I also have loved Destiny for many years. That won’t change.

The tattoo I am worried about in question is a Crux Terminatus-an honor badge for space marines dictating to anybody who knows what it is that they’re a highly honored veteran, and they have the right to bear terminator armor, an upscaled, suit of tank armor in essence. The teasing ensued a mild spiral of disappointment in myself for not even thinking of it and trying to find out exactly what the symbol is based on. From what I can confirm, the crux has Games Workshop’s 90s version of a skull on it-which is shared by many of the symbols that come from that era of design. And multiple of my family members and friends had told me that it didn’t matter, and multiple people were confused as to what it was. Even a history teacher had asked me what exactly it was and he is very knowledgeable on the world wars.

Is there any recommendations for another tattoo that could make it less extremist? I am a very big fan of tattoos that involve artistic ways of mermaids, lady death and whatnot and was considering something on my forearm.

Infected or overworked - shin tattoo

Infected or overworked - shin tattoo

I'm overseas right now - flying home tomorrow so I can't get to a doctor right now but wondering what people think. it's a week old now and has been this red since the day after I got it done - no hot feeling or soreness, just really red around the edges. no oozing or pus.

the pimples are explanatory - just the thick bepanthan ointment I've used for all my tattoos clogging the pores.

my skin is very thin and extremely prone to brusing, so I'm quietly hoping it's just that.

please let me know your opinions before I can get to a doctor.

Stay black/gray, or add eye color?

My final 3-4 hour session is coming up in three days and I'm trying to decide on a change. should I stay with the black/gray look or add the eye color? This picture with the gold eyes is AI generated, so not perfect, but a good idea of what I'm thinking.
