I met a guy before exam asking him about where the seating arrangement is listed. I dont even remember his name Vadhan Vadhvan something. We got talking and I asked about attempt 1 and all, decent guy, got 135 in attempt 1 he said. Then another guy came in and Vadhan was shocked, it was his old college buddy.

Thwy were both talking about, bhai kya haal chal kabse prepare kar raha haj and all..... I was kinda left out but I was trying to revise some stuff anyways. Eventually their conversation shifted about how they are going to attempt the exam. Sharing opinions, I also joined the discussion saying ki ye section mera weak hai and all.

Then vadhan says we should sit together and do selected sections each and then share and recheck each other's answers. BASICALLY, three people giving one mock together and getting similar marks. It was a joke but the guys friend was in on it and said yeah we should definitely try it..... While they were discussing this I thought to myself I cant risk months of preparation to give exam completely differently and trust randomly. So I just said I cant bro I am too scared to get in trouble. They weren't bothered because I was new to them as well. And after checking the roll numbers I was in a different room than them. Luckily those guys got the same room. Those people already knew each other so I thought they might probably try it.

I am done with my exam. I reach to the place where the bags were kept and find them both giggling and laughing. I was like gaya mera percentile. I asked them kaisa gaya paper. Vadhan told me theek hi tha bhai nothing special (as they both laughed) Then he didnt even ask me anything just said chalo bhai milke accha laga and both left immediately.

But, By the way they were acting those people probably got a lot of time to do quants since 25 questions each and LR as well. VA idk some answers are tough to get right even with lot of time. And tbh sharing answers didnt seem that hard because the classroom was big and one invigilator.

TLDR: Two friends randomly meet at the centre and decide to do half paper each and share answers. To get more time for solving and cross checking.

I am glad people are copying the idea and helping each other out. I think it will be a every year thing now.

Have you been there ? How is the space there. The college is in bandra west near station. Its decent or should I be ready for the heat.

I need a dog to go for a beach walk and chill out at thw beach in the morning. We will be hosting a small community event there and thought a dog would cheer everyone up in the morning.

Most orgs who's selection has been done. Shows last updated of a recent date and a active contributors tag if selected or nothing if not selected(in the profile tab).

But why does one participants get updates and others doesn't get a recent last update?

Are there people here with last update as the latest date but no new section at thw end of the profile tab about active contributors?

So, I asked a mentor from a different org(college senior). He says that this leak was appropriate for last year but they have fixed it this year.

The programs [ ] list is visible for everyone that has sent their proposals to an org.

The reason some people cant see it because the selected slots haven't been entered into that area for your particular org yet. That is just a placeholder for the orgs for which Google has entered the data.

That means for a single org for which slots are shortlisted, anyone who has submitted a proposal in that org will have this programs place holder visible.

There is no reason to worry if you want you can cross check with other contributors and they will have their programs field filled even if they are selected/not.

This year, they have tried to hide the leaks so by tomorrow this field will be filled for everyone.

1. Mentors select the best proposals for each project

2. Mentors select the priority for each project so that even if they get less slots the top priority projects still get selected.

2.1. So if you had a interview they probably selected your proposal as one of the best for the project. So multiple proposals might be sent for one project.

3. Based on the slots available and proposal quality someone from Google will do the 2nd shortlisting. This shortlisting will be one person for each project.

3.1 If there are 2 proposals which are equally good then contributors personal status and bio will be compared

4. Finally, each project will be alloted a slot and each slot will have a deserving candidate which has been shortlisted from the candidates provided by the mentor of the org.

5. This list then gets updated slowly on the gsoc website then is made live at a specific time.

If so do you see your programs [ ] field populated by the org name?

If you are the top contributor for your org and have the programs[] field populated with acceptance_letter: false ......... and so on. Tell us and share a screen shot if possible.
Also if you are a top/one of the top contributor and still CAN'T see the field populated then mention it here.

My home is pretty normal. Middle class family. Since its the summers we turn on the actual at night to sleep. Fans in rooms, fridge, TV is on most of the time. And the bill this month came our as Rs.3000.

Is this normal? It used to be around 1800-2000. One time there was a sudden spike like this and we went to the vitaran place and it was some error from their side so stupid. Now this sudden rise again. I want to know if this type of usage could generate such a bill or this is normal for most houses in virar, vasai?
