A lot of you have seen my earlier posts about the hawkers blocking the footpath near Vasai West Station/skywalk area. Here’s the latest update.

I filed multiple complaints on the VVMC portal. To be fair, VVMC has taken action. They clear around 80–85% of the area whenever they come. I also made a proper document with complaint numbers, before/after photos, resolved SMS screenshots, and proof that the issue keeps returning. I submitted this at the VVMC office, and they immediately called someone to clear the area again.

But the main problem is this: the hawkers come back very quickly. Sometimes within a day. One chiku seller has been visible repeatedly in multiple complaint photos, and even after clearing drives, he and others return to the same/nearby footpath.

There is also a VVMC vs Railway/RPF jurisdiction issue. Some parts fall under VVMC, some under railway/RPF. Both sides say they clear what comes under them. But for citizens, it is one continuous walking route. We just need the footpath to stay clear.

I’m not against anyone earning a living. But public footpaths cannot be occupied like this. Pedestrians should not be forced to walk on the road.

I’ll keep following up, but one person can only do so much. If you care about this issue, please file complaints, save complaint numbers, take photos, and follow up.

Also, if you share this issue on Instagram/X, please tag official civic pages, local Vasai pages, and bigger local creators/influencers who can amplify it.

Vasai can be cleaner and more civic. But we need to stop treating footpath encroachment as normal.

One guy from this group stands in line early and then on the last 5 mins their whole group comes , cuts line and gets in first, I've told them twice both the times they argued and continued to do the same . It's an AC train how hard is it to get in line .

Everyone else comes 15 mins early to get in line and get a seat , these guys are truly one of the biggest pieces of shit . Is there anything that can be done ....

  1. Get on a Train that starts from Vasai only

  2. Catch train that goes till Andheri only.

  3. Only Ac train

  4. Travels in 1st Class only..

  5. How do you return from Andheri to Vasai- again how during peak hours?

I want to know more about this.

Final solution to loud music problems?

TL;DR

Virar areas loud noise and dj problems are getting out of hand and police are pretty much powerless here. I had to call the guy 3 different times and the music only was stopped for 15 20 minutes.

I think if we all come up together with a discord or some group where we can raises these issues collectively (more calls to authorities) they would be definitely forced to stop it

If people are interested maybe add a comment, upvoter ( I am not at all doing this for upvotes so feel free to just drop a comment if you think this post is for upvotes, because I am f tired with all the best happening daily and believe we have to come together to stop this)

Full story-

I live near phoolpada road, shree gurudatt nagar and let me tell you one thing... This place is one of the worst place to live in..

This week itself I had to raise 2 loud noise complaints. The society I live in India shxt because they also have djs till night and that too after 12.

I am bothered by how many civillian just are becoming used to this stuff and no one just comes forward to make a complaint. I know no one complains because I have heard djs till 2 am on days I didn't call police

Also I checked the decibel from various apps and it reaches 90 on average and even with my windows closed I can hear the music so pretty sure it's loud enough. Also I am not rich enough or maybe I want to save the environment so I don't believe I should buy and AC to close the window and sleep (ok I am poor)

Here's what I have planned

Option 1 - If enough people support the idea, we can make multiple calls to the authorities every time any of us faces an issue so they’re forced to take it down. If only one person calls, they don’t take it seriously. Yesterday itself, I had to call three times. What I don’t understand is, how come the police just come, stop, and leave? If the offense is repetitive, shouldn’t they take some action? They don’t have a problem seizing vegetable carts or food stalls, but they can’t seize this?

Anyways if enough calls go to them (I am speculating that even 10 are more than enough) they will take strong action

2nd option - well if no body supports I am just gonna buy loudspeaker my self and give them taste of their own medicine..I will make sure no one in my area sleeps till some strict action is taken. I don't really want to do this since it's a bit risky but it is what it is.. if you can't break them.join them

I’m from Maharashtra. Can anyone explain the actual process to add names myself? Online/offline both are fine.

What documents are needed and what are the real government charges?

Would appreciate help 🙏

I have several reasons to dislike this place, and I’m quite fed up. I’m grateful to God that I chose to live here on rent first instead of buying it. Once my rental agreement ends, I’ll be moving out.

I usually goto PVR, Capital mall for any general movie (non IMAX) with friends, but planning to watch Raja Shivaji with my Aai. PVR will be far and also the traffic sucks at NSP bridge. So planning Rockstar Nova.

Just wanted to hear experiences from folks who have visited the same.

Hey everyone, I'm looking to buy a second-hand bike in the Vasai-Virar area. Does anyone know any reliable dealers or "gaadi bazaar" spots that have a good reputation? Also open to buying directly from an owner if anyone here is selling! Thanks in advance.

Hello. We are a small group of dedicated volunteers who run a plastic waste recycling program, across Vasai-Virar on the 4th Sunday of every month. All you need to do is segregate plastic waste (clean and dried) and we ensure it's collected and sent to an authorised recycling unit. VVMC doesn't give a damn about waste management so we need to do whatever is within our control. Starting with our homes first.

Any activity clubs or social groups in Vasai-Virar?

Hey everyone, I’ve been looking to get out more and meet new people around Vasai-Virar instead of just repeating the work-home routine every day. Are there any active clubs, groups, or communities here for things like: Cycling Badminton or football groups Running clubs Photography walks Board games / book clubs Fitness communities Weekend hangout groups Would love recommendations for active and genuine groups where people actually interact and meet regularly.
