The Core (2003) - Aaron Eckhart, Stanley Tucci - So dumb but fun!

Is there a disaster flick dumber than Armageddon? Then i remembered this existed.

But it is so rewatchable. Especially Stanley Tucci (who is mostly good in everything he does). We got Hillary Swank, who probably needed a quick paycheck, Hacker D. J. Qualls hacking the interwebs, And Aaron Eckhart who is solid as the main lead.

The science is apparently 100% bullshit but I had a lot of fun watching this.

Anyone else seen this?

Witchblade (2001) - Yancy Butler - I think this is a forgotten gem

I remember this first ep was a TV movie. Yancy Butler does a good job playing Sara Pezzini, a cop with a magical artifact. It was fairly faithful to the Top Cow comic series.

This lasted for 2 seasons and i generally liked it. The 2nd season is a sort of reboot and the reception towards that move was rather negative

A pity that no one seems to remember this now. Any Witchblade fans here?

Casino Royale (1967) - David Niven, Peter Sellers - This is a complete mess

You know what I would really like? A miniseries documentary about the behind the scenes making of this film. 5 Directors. No script whatever. The entire cast having absolutely no idea what to do. It beats what we are seeing in the finished film.

I caught this last year and the plot is complete nonsense and unfunny to boot. There are a few saving graces though. I liked Peter Sellers. From what I read from a Bond book, he took this role wanting to impress Orson wells, and was just pissed off when Wells dismissed him.

Woody Allen says he spent most of his time on set playing Bridge and working on his play.

Anyone else here seen this?

I caught this Amy Winehouse biopic Back To Black last night. Boring, totally inaccurate (from what I've heard) and a total misfire.

It made me think of the many recent musical biopics recently. So many of them are whitewashed, with plot points straight out from Wikipedia. BhoRap and that Whitney Houston film are the perfect examples.

MICHAEL was barely a movie, but just an excuse to revisit some Jackson videos. I thought ELVIS was fairly decent though.

Which is such a waste. Freddie Mercury, Amy Winehouse and Elvis are artists who have such a long and interesting history. Made me think, that a feature film might be the wrong medium to tell their stories. Perhaps a documentary series would be better suited?

Bipolar with a lot of heart. JCVD has been an action hero of mine since childhood.

My favorites? Hard Target. Bloodsport (KUMITE. KUMITE), Kickboxer and Tsui Hark's Knock Off (This is a Van Damme film that I wish more people were aware of).

Other favorites - Double Impact, The Quest, Legionnaire, Sudden Impact

P.S - Street Fighter I'll put it in the "So bad its good" category. I hated it when i first saw it in the cinemas but this has slowly grown on me over the years.

What is your favorite JCVD film?
