It feels like Marvel finally stopped looking over its shoulder and just sprinted forward. Miles isn’t being framed as “the next” anything here, he just is Spider-Man, and the whole book leans into that with zero hesitation. The tone, the cast, even the visual style all feel tuned for a newer generation without losing that core Spider-Man DNA.

You can feel the multiverse angle, but it’s not weighed down by it. It’s more like a backdrop than a crutch. The focus stays on energy, identity, and momentum, and that’s what makes it land.

The 1:25 cover helps too. It’s clean, bold, and feels like a statement piece rather than just another variant.

I know modern books get written off a lot, but this one feels like a genuine step forward. Not trying to replace the past, just building something that actually belongs to now.

Wasn’t planning on picking this up, but this cover in a 9.8 got me.

Feels like one of those books that could go either way long term.

Anyone else holding these or just enjoying the artwork?

This new Ultimate Wolverine run feels like it could go one of two ways…
either forgotten in a year or suddenly everyone’s hunting issue #1 😅

Hickman doesn’t usually miss, and this reboot universe has been building momentum.

Anyone else picking this up or watching from the sidelines?
