Success story

Hey all,

Thought I'd share something good that happened today.

After weeks of going round and round with support and technical and getting nowhere, I lost my patience and emailed Jeremy. A polite email but explained what was going on, included my account number and email and asked for help.

Within 5 minutes I had an email back from him apologising for the situation and also CCing in a few people. From there, I had a conversation over email explaining our situation (Waiting for our line to be activated) with someone high up in the company.

Within 2 hours my line had been activated and I now have the same internet I had with Brsk and it's working fine.

It seems if you can get through to the higher levels of YouFibre you're onto something and it will get sorted.

Just thought I'd share something positive.

▲ 1 r/Serato

Hey up,

I have an M1 Max Macbook Pro - 16gb RAM with an old Pioneer ERGO. USB 2.0 to USB C cable.

Struggling with audio drop outs on Serato. Theres no visual stop on the GUI just the audio will glitch every now and again, noticeable enough to not be usable for public events. No rhyme or reason for this its not certain songs.

Turning off Bluetooth and WIFI doesn't seem to make a difference. Clean install of the latest version of Serato doesn't change it either. Laptop was fine before Tahoe and it's supposed to be supported now.

I can't downgrade this laptop to sequoia due to other programs I use for work.

Currently having to use my back up i5 Macbook pro which runs Serato seamlessly on sequoia with my controller but I can't use stems. thats too much for it. I know its the M1 laptop as I've swapped to other controllers, swapped all the cables and it does it with them too.

Short of me wiping this laptop which I really don't want to do or buying another M1 to keep on Sequoia does anyone have suggestions?

So bit of a backstory, 2012 ish I had some kind of fits. It's down as epilepsy but to the best of my recollections I never was officially diagnosed with that. I went to the doctors and obviously my provisional was taken away from me which was fine as I didn't need to drive so didn't really pursue getting it back.

Final thing to do with that was around 2015 at which point I had had no further incidents and had gone through the doctors process and it was all signed off and done with.

Fast forward to 2021 I got my provisional back when I finally bothered to decide to pass my test.

So provisional issued 2021 and had an expiry of 2026.

I then passed my test June 2024 and it was due to expire July 2026. (I appreciate this is a short time period, but I honestly never clocked it). It turns out my license was on medical review. This has never been mentioned to me during my lessons, driving test or since.

Recently moved house so gone to update my address and it wants me to fill in a medical questionnaire. Going through it is a nightmare. They seem to assume I'm still having episodes. Asking all about when I last had a fit and so on and so forth which I've managed to glean some stuff from the doctors but I'm now hitting the snag that they want to know when my next appointment is, but I don't have one so I can't proceed. I've rung them but they were as stumped as me and can't help. The only advice is to fill an FEP1 form in but thats to disclose an illness and not to say "I don't have this happen anymore". My doctors are stumped as normally the DVLA would get in touch with them first and ask any question then they'd get in touch with me for any issues so they don't know what to do.

Other details is that the DVLA website currently shows me having a full license but if we get to July with no resolution I'll not have a license.

I'm honestly at a loss at what to do besides fill the form in to the best of my ability and then enclose a letter explaining the situation but I thought I'd turn to reddit to see if anyone has gone through similar and has any advice

Sorry for the wall of text but wanted to try give a full and frank description.

Edited for clarity.
