I've just bought a Reloop Go and I'm having a nightmare with it, so thinking of just getting one of the old Rane boxes that never seemed to have issues- but I'm not sure if they're compatible with the latest Serato. All I want is something that will let me use my Technics and control vinyl!

This is a followup post with some updates to the Custom Stem Injector app I'm working on. I've made a bunch of improvements and gotten the app and UI to where It can be distributed. Ready to start testing the first beta so if you're interested in helping out drop me a message. (Apple Silicon only for now)

Updates:

1. Finished UI.
2. Bundled Python runtime inside the app so testers should not need to install Python separately.
3. Added studio stem alignment algorithm pass. If you're bringing your own stems into the app, this pass will do best to automatically align them.
4. Daw View - after alignment pass, you're able to manually adjust/nudge studio stems to confirm perfect alignment before moving on.
5. Added 4 Stem Separation mode. You can now extract higher quality 2 stem (vocals, instrumental) and 4 stem (vocals, melody, bass, drums) and build either into the songs Serato stems file.
6. Added ensemble pass for 4 stem extraction. First pass uses Kim 2 model to separate Vocals and Instrumental. Runs instrumental through htdemucs model to split melody, bass drums..
7. Stem extraction will now use M1+ GPU cores for better performance

Known Issues:

1. Using studio stems mode (bringing your own) will cause id3tags (artist, album, year etc) to be stripped on final output file.
2. Using extraction mode, id3 tags and hot cues are preserved, but hot cues are likely shifted slightly earlier on the song
3. If the songs you're processing is already saved in your Serato Stems crate, the .stems file may not be overwritted properly and Serato may re analyze the song on import, removing custom stems. Best to remove the song from that crate and delete is .stems file from your music folder.
4. If the song you're working on is loaded into a deck in Serato, Serato maybe re analyze stems on import, removing custom stems. Best to unload deck or close serato.

A lot of work has went into this so far, so all sharing/feedback/tesing is much appreciated!

Hello! I've recently encountered an issue where Serato freezes when it's connecting to my controller. It's a Numark Party Mix 2 and my laptop is running Windows 11. I've done the following to troubleshoot:

- Tried all USB ports, issue happens regardless of where the controller is plugged in

- Uninstalled + reinstalled Serato, no change

- Reinstalled driver for the controller. This temporarily solves the issue, but after closing Serato + reopening it, the issue comes up again

- Tried running Serato in compatibility mode, it won't load at all this way

I found an older thread describing the issue but looks like the solution wasn't found. Has anyone encountered this before and resolved it?

Hello, I apologize is this question has been asked before - I cannot seem to find the answer.

In logic, I mastered everything so that my track peaks on master output at -0.1dB.

On the master out, when I apply a limiter and crank gain so my peak reduction is around 6 and turn output down to -0.3, then my waveform gets a little larger in Serato but loses a bit of punch, and gets this muddy look. I have tried to export WAVE, MP3, etc etc with no luck. Any tips here? And yes, I can noticeably hear a difference when playing it in a club setting.

Besides the small intro kick waveforms, at bar 9 its very muddy, where as that section of kicks should be crisp etc, there is no reverb or any tail audio there. Top example is what a normal waveform looks like, the bottom is mine, clearly a size difference and crisp visual difference. The colors are also less vibrant (dull when played, muddy).

Used to just be able to press the In/Out button or shortcut and then use the left/right cursor keys to adjust, but now that just seems to scroll around the interface.

From the manual

"When a loop is active, clicking Loop In again will allow you to manually edit the start point of the loop. "

Gonna tell us *how* to manually adjust that point, or nah?

I just recently downloaded serato 4.0.6 and have encountered a weird issue with SoundCloud. When I try to load certain tracks (I’ve noticed this happening with Sexy Sushi and Slayyyter’s discography specifically if that’s enlightening at all) I encounter the error message reading “streaming server could not be reached”. These songs worked on the previous version I was using (3.3.5) and some even had preexisting hot cues which is what has confused me. I am aware that some SoundCloud tracks prohibit streaming via serato, but this doesn’t seem to be the issue here based on the previous version loading them with no problems.

Before anyone says “just don’t use streaming”, know that I never ever use streaming tracks when performing!! I turn my internet off when doing so. This is an issue for my at home use, but it’s quite inconvenient and frustrating when I know for a fact these tracks will load on other versions.

For now, my fix has just been to downgrade, but that likely won’t last forever, eventually new SoundCloud tracks will stop showing up at all if it becomes too outdated (this has happened to me before).

I’m wondering if anyone has experienced a similar issue and if there’s anything I can do to make these tracks load in 4.0.6? Already tried logging in and out of SoundCloud and redownloading and restarting and all that jazz.

PS - I’ve already opened a ticket with serato support, but recently they’ve been taking weeks if not months to respond, and when they do they’ll just tell me to update and send a system file report, which I’ve already done multiple times. Hoping the beautiful serato community can help me out, thanks :)

Hey there i have a problem and i cant seem to find a fix, everytime i start playing music on serato there appears a weird static noise and it always appears after around 20 minutes,

im using a Hercules inpulse 300 mk2. I tried increasing the buffer range, tried a diffrent usb port but nothing helped. Did anyone had the same problem? and how did you fix it? thanks in advance

I updated Serato DJ Pro from version 3.x to the latest 4.x version, and since then I’m having an issue with my TIDAL playlists.

The playlists are still there, but the track order is completely wrong inside Serato. On the TIDAL mobile app, everything is still in the correct custom order. But in Serato, the songs appear in some random/unexplained order.

Even when I add new songs to the playlist, they don’t go to the top or bottom where expected — they just get inserted somewhere random in the list.

I already tried changing the sort columns (# / track number etc.), refreshing, logging out/in, but nothing fixes it.

Is this a known issue with Serato DJ Pro 4.x + TIDAL? Any way to force Serato to respect the original TIDAL playlist order again?

What' I'm expecting to see is the Beatport premade playlists as well as a playlist I made for myself.

What I've tried.

restarting Serato DJ Lite

Logging out of Beatport and logging back in.

closing Serato and deleting the cache from /Library/Application Support/Serato/Beatport. and trying again.

I've checked and it looks like I have all the correct licenses.

If I'm missing something PLEASE let me know.
