[The Sleepwalker's Lullaby] by [Dr Sohil Makwana]
Picking up a new thriller after my previous read turned into DNF midway through. I hope this one won't disappoint me like the previous one. Only thriller readers know this feeling..

My all time fav is The Sittaford Mystery... what's yours?? In my college days I was a huge fan of Agatha and collected a few books of her. However time has changed and we want more thriller stories.
I watched From season 1 excitedly but the climax was big meh knowing it has five seasons... Now watching season 2 and after finishing episode 5 i'm so disappointed as the story is not progressing.. everyone wanders around and gets back to town without giving any answers. Should I leave it or keep going.. now I'm watching it with FF. M i be the only one!?
I started reading Veronika Decides To Die by Paulo Coelho.. starting is repetitive and slow... Let's see how things go ahead. Comment your reviews if you have read this one.
3.5 stars.
The story started a little slow for me, and it took some time to really connect with the characters. The first few chapters felt repetitive at times, especially with Olivia’s thoughts and memories, which slightly affected the pacing. I also felt some side characters could have been explored better because a few of them seemed underdeveloped.
The book begins on the 20th anniversary of Arden Maynor’s rescue. When she was six years old, she mysteriously sleepwalked into a dangerous storm and went missing for three days. Her story became national news, especially because her mother struggled with substance abuse. The incident brought fame, media attention, and financial support into her life.
As she grew older, Arden changed her name to Olivia Meyer to escape her past and start over. She built a stable life, completed college, and bought a house using the trust money created after the incident. She also shares a close connection with her elderly neighbor, who looks after her like family.
The story becomes much more interesting when Olivia suddenly starts sleepwalking again after years. One night, she wakes up outside and discovers a dead body near her property. From there, the suspense becomes stronger and the book turns into a fast-paced thriller.
The mystery kept me interested, even though some twists felt slightly predictable midway through the story. However, the final reveal was still surprising and well done. Megan Miranda did a great job creating an eerie atmosphere and showing how trauma and the past can continue to affect someone’s life.
Overall, it was an engaging and entertaining thriller. It may not be perfect because of the slow beginning and uneven pacing, but once the story picks up, it becomes difficult to put down.
Trying my hand on this fiction The Girl From Widow Hills by Megan Miranda.. fingers crossed 🤞
My latest book purchases and I’m already excited to start reading them,. A perfect mix of thrillers, inspiring stories, and meaningful reads.Fingers 🤞
