[Satantango] last leg [Laszlo Krasznahorkai]

[Satantango] last leg [Laszlo Krasznahorkai]

I was wondering if you all would give me some insight of the appeal of this book/ what you all thought. I think some of the descriptive, complex imagery was lost on me (I’m not someone who is typically able to keep up and retain a lot of descriptive words/paragraphs that describe a scene or feeling)… but I’m also kind of confused to as what the village was before and what part Irimias and Petrina played before they had vanished?? (After one speech at the bar they gave them all their money, was there some trust beforehand that had been established before the book starts or were they just THAT desperate?) Please let me know your alls thoughts.. imm gonna open reddit up again when I’m finished

I’m only about 20ish pages in…and it’s a little confusing…but I’m very excited to get really deep into this. I’m almost embarrassed it’s taken me this long to finally crack this one. Also…RIP Dan Simmons
