I (24M) like a girl (18F) at my college, but her friend (25F) seems to be sabotaging things
I want a girl from my college, but her older friend is getting in the way of everything.
I’m a 24-year-old man, I’m in college, and there’s an 18-year-old woman who is insanely beautiful where I study, long hair, slim, with piercings, blue highlights in her hair and kind of an alternative style and slim.
I asked her to play pool, since we have that at the college. I approached her on a day when she was sitting alone, when her friend wasn’t there. She was nice, she even bought ice cream for both of us. But this week it’s been hard to make progress with her.
Her friend, who is 25, keeps calling her “baby” and says I’m already too old for her. Like, what the hell is that? Why do friends get involved when a guy tries to get close? I’ve already been at the same college as her for 5 months, I’m not a complete stranger. And this older girl, who is even older than me, is acting like this, almost as if she’s jealous of the younger friend.
The girl I’m interested in is shy, she’s not just going to ignore her friend and go along with things, especially with her friend acting like that. Any advice on how to deal with this?
