Does anyone use pee pads occasionally?

Ive been taking my 9 week old pup out to pee every hour when hes awake but I do have pee pads JUST in case.

For instance.. I need to be out for 2 hours but he has not pooped all day! Should i leave his crate open so he can be in the playpen and put a pee pad??

I would hate for him to have to poop all of a sudden and be distressed in the crate and end up soiling his space.

Ive had him for 4 days now and I cant imagine life without him

Leading up to the pick up day, I was SO anxious about raising and training a puppy. I even thought about backing out. But he is so good with crate training and is sleeping through the night!

Moved back to be closer to my parents but Im annoyed now

I HATE that i feel like this. I moved overseas with my husband and had babies in my 20’s and I was incredibly lonely. I cried many nights because I missed my parents/home. We would visit during summers and I would hate having to leave them.

Now, we live about 7 mins away from my parents , and Im secretly missing the distance we used to have. I have no idea why I feel like this. Is it because “distance makes the heart grow fonder”?

Im feeling like I might have some unresolved issues with them or something. I cant stand any of their criticism, and there are times I just get so annoyed. I think it reminds me of when I was a teenager idk.

I don’t like that my mom assumes that i want them over every time my husband is out of town. I feel terrible because my parents are lovely people and great grandparents to my children.

Can anyone relate or am I just a shitty person lol

My 8 week old pup doesnt have all his teeth

Brought him home yesterday and realized he keeps sticking his tongue out. Thought it was cute and wasnt i wasnt worrying too much, but I just realized that he doesnt have any bottom incisors?!

It did seem like he was struggling to eat the treats i was feeding him because they kept falling out his mouth which now makes sense..

Has anyone else had a puppy that didnt have all their teeth when they came home??

He’s a havanese if that makes any difference

Recently moved back to my hometown, and Im not sure how people do Mother’s day if you live nearby your own mom.

I think we did a dinner out last year (with my husband, kids, and parents) but we will be bringing home a puppy a day before mothers day, and I dont wanna be out for too long.

I booked my mom and I a pedicure and Im going to give her perfume/flowers. Might grab brunch or coffee if the spots arent too busy.

Is that good enough? Or should the whole family be getting together? Im not big on mothers day and Im happy with a hand drawn card from my kids.

I have a crate and playpen ready, and plan on doing the 1 hour awake 2 hour asleep schedule (but we’ll see how it goes).

I dont work so Im able to be home most of the time besides the weekly grocery run and when my kids have after school activities which is 1-2 hour max. Im really anxious about having to leave a young puppy at home.

How do i help the puppy get used to being in the crate when we’re all out?? Toy or no toy in the crate? What about water? Im worried he will have accidents in the crate.

Should I start out with pee pads or not?

Also is it true that I shouldn’t make a big deal about saying goodbye or greeting them hello??

Thank you!!
