Ive had him for 4 days now and I cant imagine life without him

Leading up to the pick up day, I was SO anxious about raising and training a puppy. I even thought about backing out. But he is so good with crate training and is sleeping through the night!

Jack the Havanese as the new face of BMO Insurance!

I’m asking for help from this wonderful community to help make Jack, my 9 year old Havanese from Toronto, the face of BMO’s new pet insurance.

Jack was recently diagnosed with a heart condition. After 4 ICU admissions, we are finally on the other side of it. It would mean the world to me and my family if this could be Jack’s legacy.

If you could kindly take 30 seconds to vote, I would deeply appreciate it. Thanks to this wonderful community!
I’ll drop the voting link in the comments.

Baby teeth

My havanese is now 4 months and a half and he hasn’t lost any baby teeth yet, is that normal? When do they start losing them?

8 weeks vs 1 year

This little man has just turned 1. He’s the loveliest, cheekiest and most cheese obsessed pup… But how can I say no to that little face.

Jack is in third! Thanks to this amazing group 🥰

Update from yesterday: we’ve gained about 100 votes and are about 200 behind the leader. Jack says thanks to all your support. Any additional votes are greatly appreciated 💕

These are some shots from his recent ICU visits at the VEC in Toronto. Even in turmoil, Jack still strikes a pose with his signature tongue 😋

I’ll stick the link in the comments again. Thank you again! This is a fun activity for our family after months of worry.

Before and after grooming

He went from looking like he needed to get a haircut and a job to a dapper looking gentleman.

Does your Havanese like to swim?

My 6 month old baby girl loves to go boating but she’s hesitant to swim with us. Will she ever like to swim?

Our rescue Havanese

We recently rescued a Havanese mix two year old. I have been following this site all during the adoption process in anticipation. When we got him we realized he’s a little bigger than our previous Havanese so we decided to get his DNA tested. We love him so much! He is incredibly friendly and happy. Pictures below are him before adoption, after adoption and the DNA results. Can I still be part of the group?
