I observe that the Canonical LivePatch functions throws an error when Windscribe VPN is active. It turns green when I disconnect Windscribe. Is there a known conflict between the two on Ubuntu 24 LTS?

If yes, how do I fix it?

Didn't have this problem with NordVPN.

Hi all, I'm attempting to build my first home server for up to 2 users.

**The purpose**: To stream movies, shows & music primarily within home and occasionally remotely.

**The Stack:** Jellyfin (needs to handle 1-2 concurrent 4K transcodes), Navidrome, Pi-hole/Adguard, Tailscale (to access remotely), Wireguard VPN Server.

**The Hardware:** I'm thinking of getting a used 8th/9th-Gen Intel micro PC to leverage Quick Sync for Jellyfin. I aim to have 16GB RAM (8x2) and a 259GB NVMe for the OS/apps, and use an external USB for media storage.

**My top contenders are:**

Lenovo ThinkCentre M920q (Tiny)

HP EliteDesk 800 G5 (Mini)

**My Questions:**

**Hardware**: Out of the above, does one stand out for thermals, reliability, or future expandability?

**Operating System**: Confused, Do I start with ZimaOS (I've tried CasaOS and like it) or Unraid? I avoid command line as much as possible.

**Storage**: Are there any major red flags with running my main media pool via a USB enclosure on these machines? This is my first build, if things go well, I can upgrade in the future.

**Memory**: How much Memory is optimum?

Also, call out if I'm totally on the wrong track and share recommendations.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Just moved from NordVPN to Windscribe and evaluating ControlD. I see Windscribe includes R.O.B.E.R.T. but, I was keen to know if we can use ControlD with it simultaneously. I think the answer to that is yes (need to explore though). But, I was wondering whether using it simultaneously will reduce anonymity?
