[Hobby] Artist/Programmer in Gamemaker/Godot, possibly musician
I am thinking of an atmospheric interpretive RPG called “Conclusion”. It focuses on surreal dream-like worlds formed from emotional and conceptual distortion of reality. The game is minimalist, story-driven, and heavily focused on tone, environmental storytelling, and surrealism
The structure follows interconnected unstable worlds where reality gradually begins to overlap with dream logic. The combat is simple and turn-based, with emphasis on the concept of “interpretation” rather than stat-heavy progression. Visuals and audio are pretty important here, there’s a muted pixelart style like deltarune or OFF and strong focus on atmosphere and sound design. To clarify my inspirations early 2000s digital imagery, liminal environments and amateur niche art you find online I guess
I'm looking for people who are good at/interested in atmospheric game design, environmental storytelling, and cohesive artistic direction. Basically people who know how to write good plots, make good art and make some music. Especially people skilled at Gamemaker/Godot
Small scoped, focused project rather than a large commercial game. Communication is only online through messages and international.
DM me for more details and questions regarding the project. Since I live in a different time zone responses and messages or friend requests may take a longer time for me to notice. This is just a part time gig so there will be no payment. Take your time while making this but don’t abandon the project completely
It is going to be the first time I’m leading a project if this becomes a team so apologies if there are any Lapses in my judgement
If you have any questions, feel free to ask away! I’m sorry if my post is worded a little poorly, I’m not that good at English sometimes
