j stealth dropped the finished version of candyglass!!

I'm not sure when this happened but nobody reported on it yet so i guess i have to!!

title is kinda clickbait but i'm 99% sure this is the finished version. the lyrics are different and the song sounds MUCH more polished. It was already my favorite song from her EVER and oh my god it is so so much better now!!

You can find the song on this website. There is a chance that you'll see a question asking "where is the song candyglass?" and if you click on it it'll send you to an empty page with the song!

what songs do you wish would've gotten music videos?

Personally i think a slip under the door music video would've been fantastic. Dark and moody, cool colors, in a bedroom with a long spooky hallway, sleep paralysis.

motions could've been great too, especially with a big city business type setting.

And I really wish they went through with that cancelled bedroom community music video

I know that there isn't a canon to the gleachverse but does anyone else interpret plastic death as the events leading up to the suicide in bedroom community? commatose being the one where it happens, but from someone else's perspective. actually, I see most of the album as from someone else's perspective, usually Kate's lover. I could go into why I think that.

I want to make it clear though, that I do understand that most of j's music is about her life and what she has experienced. Not imaginary characters, I purposely avoid sticking these imaginary characters to the more personal songs like you are an angel, escape your hometown by any means necessary, abyss angel, and the entire c album. I just think it's fun to imagine each song as a little story within these characters lives! I am also aware that plastic death isn't really about romantic relationships and that it is just a common metaphor in the album. although that doesn't make my interpretation invalid, since the relationship isn't the main focus. it's more about the experiences Kate went through between the start of bedroom community and the end of it that caused her suicide. plastic death is partially a reimagining of bedroom community so i think it'd make sense if it was also connected aside from a few themes and songs (the big one being commatose.)

Kate is the mc of both yoshis island and bedroom community, and she is the secondary character in kate said. Aside from the actual intended meaning of the song, kate said seems to be about Kate's lover and Kate being super obsessive and manic and clearly going through some mental decline. The "I need I need you right now cause you're mine and you're always on my mind" part makes me think of the CIA, specifically the lines "yeah you're my panopticon, with your radar always on.", "always terrified when I'm under your spell", and "lost without your love." with the context of kate said, the CIA seems to be about Kate's unhealthy obsession from the perspective of her lover, just earlier on when it wasn't causing them extreme mental distress.

i'm not gonna go further into it because i have stuff to do but i thought i'd share this, i've been thinking really hard about how all the songs connect ever since it's fine to dream came out.
