Are you hopeful about the future despite all the doom and gloom reports and other issues?

I've lately been reflecting on all the issues going on in the world like societal issues, economic downfalls, and especially environmental issues (dear GOD, the environment like the recent Amoc decay...) and I'm feeling very uncertain about everything. Given how people like psychics and mediums apparently can find insight about what the future likely could be, it makes me wonder if and how they stay optimistic or at least keep going.

Sorry for this messy post. My mind is feeling foggy.

How accurate is the sword forging scene from Kingdom Come Deliverance 1?

I've recently begun playing KCD1 (tragically funnily enough, I had it in my Steam library for years but didn't muster interest until now), and I've wondering how accurate is the forging scene between Henry and his father. https://youtu.be/38bNL-OSEAU?si=QX0B1dTWgdYst3IE They already start off with a forged blade, cross guard, and pommel, and they just need to fine tune a few things so the parts fit together, so they aren't starting from scratch.

One part I'm uncertain about is Henry not wearing gloves when working with a heated blade tang (I think thats the part of the blade that fits into the hilt). That looks like a good way to burn your hands or cut them should they slip.

Regardless, what's your take?

Is it actually possible for midterms to be delayed? From what I read, that's up to individual states to delay elections and it hardly affects inauguration. (Not to mention, the recent VA redistribution in Dems favor)

As much as people fear about the midterms being delayed, I'm not sure if that's even possible. I've read that it's up to individual states as to whether or not they went to delay voting on midterms, and this rarely happens. I even read that when George W. Bush tried to do this back in 2004, with 9/11 being his excuse, only New York delayed midterms elections. And this didn't affect the overall election one bit.

There's also the recent redistribution of Virginia in the Democrats favor.

I'm not sure if it's even possible for the 2026 midterms to be delayed. But I could be horribly mistaken.

What's your insight?

Edit: redistricting, not redistributing. Sorry.

Regarding the UK lawsuit against Valve: has there been an update on how the case is going?

I know the court is in session, but I haven't found an update since 2 months ago (as of this writing). The closest I found was this video by info graphics https://youtu.be/HCSpNUeMnhg?si=dFWZ3wvXOUbi\_an1 but even they tend to exaggerate and/or repeat old information. I don't know how either the defense or prosecution is holding up (please pardon my ignorance about how lawsuits and court cases work).

Any insight on this?

Ethical question: are middle class/more well-off people in this day and age have a moral obligation/responsibility in helping out the less fortunate (like through charities)?

I find it ironic that the Witcher swords from the video games are more realistic (and better-looking) than the live-action series on Netflix
