Feeling nervous about CT scan tomorrow…

Tomorrow I have an appointment with my urologist to get a CT scan done and I’m honestly pretty nervous about it.

I’ve been dealing with really bad urinary urgency and nocturia for a while now, and so far my urologist hasn’t seen anything concerning. He mentioned everything looked normal from what he’s checked, but he still wants me to do a CT scan just to rule out kidney stones.

I don’t know why I get so anxious about stuff like this, but medical tests always make me think the worst even when I try not to. I already had a cystoscopy done about 7–8 months ago, so I’ve been through some of this before, but I still get that same uneasy feeling leading up to it. I’ve never been in any pain just spasm feeling if that makes sense fyi

Just looking for some reassurance or good thoughts from anyone who’s been through something similar. If you’ve had a CT scan or dealt with similar symptoms and it turned out okay, I’d really appreciate hearing about it.

Send some prayers or good vibes my way if you can 🤞

What’s the correct way to call in using FMLA?

I recently got approved for FMLA through my job, but I’m a little confused about the proper way to actually use it when I need to miss work. Just because it’s through a company named sunlife. Do I need to give details about why I’m out, or is it enough to just say it’s an FMLA-covered absence?

Life hit me pretty hard these past months. I’ve been dealing with some health issues, and I also lost a family member, which really threw me off mentally and emotionally. Because of that, I feel like I haven’t been as locked in as I should be, and now I’m stressing about whether I can finish strong.

I’m not giving up, but I could really use some advice or perspective from people who’ve been through something similar. How did you stay focused or bounce back when life got heavy right before the finish line?

I just want to get through this, graduate, and get back on track not just with school, but with life in general.

Any wisdom or encouragement would mean a lot right now.

I smoke about 3–4 Black & Milds a day, and I’m ready to quit. I’m turning 31 this year and I’ve got a little one depending on me I want to be here, healthy, 20+ years from now. My biggest issue is stress. Whenever I’m in a bad mood or overwhelmed, smoking (whether it’s tobacco or cannabis) instantly takes the edge off. That’s the habit I’m struggling to break.

For anyone who’s been in this spot:
What actually helped you quit?

How did you deal with stress without reaching for a smoke?

Did you taper off or quit cold turkey?
I’m serious about this, just need some guidance from people who’ve been through it.

I’m an upcoming music artist and I’ve been struggling a lot mentally with staying motivated and not letting negativity get to me.

When I record, I’ll sometimes think my music just isn’t good at all. Then I’ll hear other upcoming artists and start comparing myself. In some cases, I feel like my music might actually be a bit better in terms of substance or what I’m talking about, but I also know that’s subjective and I might just be biased because it’s my own life and experiences.

The hard part is I don’t really feel a lot of support around me. My girl and my brother are really the only ones who genuinely believe in me or even try to promote what I’m doing, and even that feels inconsistent sometimes.

I just keep getting into these mental loops where I start doubting everything and it gets discouraging. There are moments where I genuinely feel like giving up, but at the same time I feel like I have something to say and a voice worth sharing.

Like I’m stuck and don’t know what to do. How do I stop letting this bother me? How can I feel motivated when I feel like my art is invisible?

What’s up everyone, I’m a 28M in CT looking for more people to play with on PSN. I play a mix of games like SF6, Marvel Rivals, COD, NBA 2K, Elden Ring, Expedition 33, Fortnite, and pretty much anything else.

I’m on pretty regularly and down to run whatever casual or competitive. Just trying to build up a solid group to game with.

Drop your PSN or add me! I could definitely use some more friends on here
