Why are we paying so much?

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious or perhaps in naive but as the title suggests why are we paying so much? I'm paying a fortune for my 2000/500 connection. Just returned from a trip to a few SEA countries. My Airbnb in HCMC had a 1000/1000 connection and when I checked the providers price I was shocked that it's around $16 a month! The same provider offers a 10gbit/10gbit connection for $84. In Singapore I saw them also advertising 10gbit/10gbit for $30 SGD per month. I just can't believe in 2026 we're still paying a fortune for a decent connection when you compare to what other countries have on offer. I guess we have no competition in this country so they can charge whatever they like. Apologise for the rant, just a little pissed at the state of things.

Hi all,

Bit of a strange one. Been travelling around Vietnam and Cambodia and noticed a strange issue with the camera. There appears to be a bunch of dust or something else on the sensor, or at least that’s all I can think it could be. Didn’t even know this was possible for a phone but I have been in some dusty environments. I’ll include an example. Currently in Singapore but I will visit an Apple Store to get their take on it. Anyone seen something like this on a phone? I’ve inspected the lens closely and cannot see any scratches or damage on that.
