(originally posted in a different community but i figured here might be a little more helpful)

i’ve been trying to embrace my natural hair more, considering my entire life i’ve only worn it straight or in braids. my mother has relaxed hair, and has for as long as i remember, and my father is white and doesn’t have a clue 😭 i attached the second photo (it’s a really bad example so so sry) because the front of my hair tends to have way looser curls than the middle/back. i’m not sure if its natural or due to heat damage. (again im so sorry if these photos are bad examples, ive never done this lol)

if anyone could help me identify my hair type/give any constructive feedback at all, that would be great! thanks ❤️
