Netflix basic vs. standard?

I am curious what the difference between the plans are. I know the basic is cheaper but you have ads. But I’ve also heard that if you have the cheaper version, you don’t get to watch everything Netflix has. The majority of what I watch on Netflix is true crime docs, horror movies, and some baking shows.

If a check has already been deposited in the bank, can they take it back for nursing care expenses?

My mother is on both regular social security and SSI. In April, she fell and it caused a brain bleed which led to a hemorrhagic stroke. She was in the hospital for 2 weeks and then spent another 2 weeks in acute rehab. While being in the hospital, they gave her blood pressure medication to lower her BP to reduce the chance of the brain bleed to get bigger. The BP medication ended up lowering her BP too much and caused her kidneys to fail. So now she has a stent in her kidney, a tunneled catheter, and is on dialysis three times a week. She spent about a week in the medical unit in the hospital and was moved to a nursing home for rehabilitation.

I talked to staff over the phone yesterday about her treatment plan and her insurance (Medicaid and Medicare) will only cover for 30 days. Then she will go to long care, which is when they will take her social security and SSI.

We live together and split all of the bills, including rent. So I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to pay everything by myself because my goal is to keep where we live so she has a place to come back to. But being realistic, I don’t think she will get well enough within 30 days.

My question is, she gets her two payments the 1st and 3rd of every month, unless it falls on the weekend. She is scheduled to get out of rehab at the nursing home on June 6th and then go to long care. Would I still be able to use her payments for bills in June since it will likely already be deposited or will they try to take it back? Or will they start taking her money starting in July?

I’m planning on talking to someone at the nursing home next week and I have an appointment with a care coordinator at the mental health facility I go to on the 18th. I just want to ask other people for, hopefully, peace of mind until then. I just need to find out if I have until June or July to figure out how to transfer a lot of this stuff in my name.

I live with my mom in a duplex on HUD. My mother is the head of household and I’m the co-head. On April 1, she fell and got a brain bleed which led to a stroke and she is still in the hospital because the medications they gave her caused her kidneys to fail so now she’s on dialysis.

Because the voucher was in her name, she always did all of this. I already called HUD and they said she can be out of the home for 6 months and after that, they can transfer the voucher in my name. However, she is still unable to walk and the hospital will not let her come home since we live upstairs and they are afraid it won’t be safe, so they will be sending her to an extended care facility to get extra rehab. So it is very likely we will have to move out of the place we have lived in since 2003.

My question is, we have an inspection later this month. Do I still need to keep it even though I might be moving in a few months? Or will they hold off until I find some place and then have the inspection? I haven’t began looking for a place because I’ve been trying to clean the house and get ready for the inspection.

My mom is currently in the hospital and has been since April 1st. She fell and got a brain bleed which caused a hemorrhagic stroke and now she is suffering through aphasia.

I‘ve been keeping an eye on her test results. She also has Afib and cirrhosis of the liver. They tested her eGFR a week ago and it was at 76. Now, a week later, it is at 20.

Should I be concerned? She’s currently in the hospital out of town and I can’t get there until Monday. Could there be a reason her eGFR dropped 56 points? I know when I was there Friday she mentioned how she hated their water and couldn’t wait until she was home to get the good water. Could she just be dehydrated?
