The term whitewashed already disproportionately harms the Black community as it’s used against us by our own people and other races. I only defined it to insight clarity but it truly disgusts me that someone took that knowledge and justified why a Black women should risk her well being and mask her identity to integrate into a racist white family. As for her not needing to shrink her self since she’s already essentially a … yeah that shit is unacceptable and honestly there can be several reasons why she identified herself as whitewashed that we don’t know about which makes this comment even more aggravating.
