Is concealer meant to be lighter or the same shade as your foundation?

I’m getting into the makeup game and going shopping for a concealer tomorrow. I have no idea how to pick my shade? What do people usually do? :)

Concealer recommendations to hide veins/this?

For reference: Very Dry Sensitive & Acne-Prone Skin

I haven’t worn makeup in years. Tomorrow is the last day of the Sephora but, unfortunately, it seems like all the options I chose pulled too yellow or dark on me?

I am very pale (added pictures of my skin) in the sense that you can see all my veins, like the first picture. It’s very bad under my eyes. People constantly comment on it. I’d love some opinions for foundations and concealers because I don’t think I was accurately shade-matched at Sephora :p

Would love some tips and advice! 🌷🩷 It’s become unbearable with all the unnecessary comments from people :/

Please help me shade-match! Are these all wrong? :(

I’m getting back into makeup and need to buy a light foundation for my base makeup! An associate at Sephora helped me and gave me lots of testers to bring home, however- these all seem to pull way darker or too yellow on me? I used a q-tip to draw a line from my jawline to my neck.

When I used to wear makeup (years ago), I was the lightest shade usually. But, these all look wrong? Are they all fails or is one of them a match?

Would love some advice from anyone who has a similar skin tone. I’m also looking into buying concealer but have no idea how I’m gonna choose that! 😅
