I don’t understand these reviews…

Like I totally hear your frustration HOWEVER why couldn’t you just return it instead of throwing it out and wasting money?? And it’s so expensive. I always see reviews like these and I just don’t get it. These products are expensive 😩

Side note, I love the Westman Atelier concealer! 😍

Biggest haul yet!

I recently graduated nursing school and have been working overtime in order to be able to spoil myself after a few years of sacrifice. I also wanted to restock some items that I was running low on and that I have used and know I love! I’m focusing a lot on my skin and hair health and wanted to invest in some high quality tools/products to get me to my goal regarding my skin and hair health. Being that I am no longer in school, I have more time to do my make up, so I also wanted to grab some makeup as well. Many of my makeup products have expired/are empty. What are your opinions on some of these products? Have you tried any?

Here are the products shown above!

Lips:

Makeup forever extreme lip liner, endless cacao- Cool-tone

Make up by Mario lip liner, smoky pink- Cool-tone

Makeup by Mario gloss, rustic pink- Don’t own a gloss and love this shade

Tower 28 lip gloss, pistachio- Don’t own a gloss, good everyday shade

Anastasia lip stick, soft haze- I’ve been looking for a good cool-tone lipstick

Rhode lip boost, unscented- The reviews are so good!!

Face/Skincare/Body care:

Innisfree sunscreen- Ride or die, repurchased!

Dr Dennis Gross LED face mask- i’ve been doing research on the best LED face mask and came to grips with the fact that this had everything I was looking for in one. Has red and blue light therapy, cordless

Sol De Janeiro 68 body spray- Repurchase! I love a good, soft spray for at work

Slip Pillow Case Duo- My satin pillow case has seen better days. I’ve heard so many good things about this brand.

Nuface trinity- The results speak for themselves, both short and long-term.

Dr Dennis Gross Peel Pads- Always in my rotation! These are the only thing that has worse to clear up my acne. Repurchased as I’m running low🙃

Makeup by Mario, soft sculpt, light medium- Repurchased a lighter shade. Mine is expired and slightly too warm for my skin tone.

Armani cheek blush, rosewood- Need a new blush and beard so many good things about Armani

Armani cheek blush, mauve- Love this shade

Rhode Pocket blush, sleepy girl- I heard that it didn’t last well on oily skin. Reviews from people with dry skin like mine are generally really positive. This is the perfect summer shade!

Anastasia Beverly Hills contour stick, shade greyscale- My current contour is very low and much too dark/warm for my skin tone.

Hair:

Slip Silk hair scrunchies- Needed something less damaging on my hair. These will be perfect for work.

Kerastase elixir oil- Repurchase!! Tried and true. I can’t say enough good things about this oil.

K18 dry shampoo- I wanted something lighter and lasting. I like the technology behind this dry shampoo.

Ouai detox shampoo- mine is empty and this clarifying shampoo is my go-to. It’s gentle enough to use daily but cleanses like no other! Repurchase.

Kerastase initialiste scalp serum- I’m looking to grow stronger, healthier hair. That starts at the scalp. I’m excited to try this product!

Oribe super shine cream- the reviews are so good. My first Oribe product!

Crown affair texturizing mousse- Hoping this will bring out the waves I have and tame my frizz!

Crown affair leave in conditioner- I wanted something with extra hydration that also helped maintain my waves.

Kerastase Nutritive conditioner- New purchase, I’m almost out of my Genesis conditioner, and I want something a little bit more hydrating.

Crown affair number 2 comb- I don’t have a comb and wanted one to brush through my wet hair when applying products. Hoping this will help with frizz and tangles.

Crown affair towel- My microfiber towel broke, why not try a new brand?

Crown affair silk scrunchies- Can’t have enough scrunchies. I’m excited to try silk scrunchies va my coiled plastic hair ties.

Higher dose LED hat- Helps with hair retention && growth which is exactly what I’m going for.

What is wrong with Glow Recipe!? This is the SECOND TIME.

I loved the Glow Recipe Guava Brightening Serum ever since I first got it a little over a year ago although, it is a bit pricey and only lasts me about a month. I ran through two bottles and purchased the third time when they were having a sale. Unknowingly, I was using the serum that had oxidized which was causing my skin to have a reaction. I returned it and decided to try the Dermalogica Biolumin-C serum which I also loved but it is so expensive! That finished so I wanted to try and find a dupe thats just as good but less pricey. I bought the Timeless 20% Vitamin C which was so strong and I sometimes felt a burning sensation and it gave me cystic acne so I returned that as well. I FINALLY decided to go back to Glow Recipe because I know it works for my skin and I gave up on trying new serums. I bought this just yesterday, I pumped the bottle and look at ts! I was so excited to start using again and now I’m extremely disappointed and seriously thinking about not even purchasing this serum again. I need a another serum for sensitive skin. Which product has worked for your hyperpigmentation?

Rouge Restock w mini reviews

I do my best to focus my purchasing during sales periods on items that I know I love (hence the multiples). The associate who helped me was fantastic despite how busy it was. Typically I buy skin care and fragrance from Sephora; I have oily/combo skin and live in the desert, mid 30s for context. I love seeing everyone’s hauls AND de-influencing posts. Let me know if I missed anything 😅

YTP Supershroom Calm Cleanser: 3rd bottle, love how this is gentle and doesn’t strip my skin

Dieux Air Angel x2: my 10th+, AM moisturizer. Easily my fav summer moisturizer.

Dieux Skin Mercy x2: my 4th, PM moisturizer. This launched in January and it’s been perfect for nighttime because it’s thicker than Air Angel, but lighter than instant angel.

Dieux Auracle: my 5th, eye cream AM & PM. The only eye cream I’ve consistently enjoyed.

Rhode Peptide Lip boost: my 2nd. I confess I’m a rhode hater (their packaging is meh to me), but I’ve been enjoying this and had to get a back up.

Innisfree sunscreen: my 1st! Was looking to try something new.

Dieux Deliverance Serum x3: my 8th+. I use this in my PM routine and it feels so nice, I cannot stop. Unfortunately worth the price.

IOPE Expert Retinol RX 2%: my 1st. Previously loved their 1% but was pricey and hard to track down online. Was actually going to rebuy the Shani Darden one, but wasn’t impressed with it (for the price). Decided to grab this instead.

Sofie Pavitt Face Mandelic Acid x2: my 5th. I use this almost every night, surprised it was actually gentle enough for that. Perfect for my oily skin.

Eadem Peptide Lip Balm (Guava): 1st in this shade.

The 7 Virtues Strawberry Jam (travel): smelled this on 2 previous visits and couldn’t stop thinking about it. Gonna wear test and maybe buy full size before the sale ends.

For anyone tempted to place another order because of the sunglasses…

Go to the DIFF sunglasses website and use their virtual try-on feature (I believe the sunglasses are the “Indy” style in black).

I did this and immediately knew this style does NOT work with my round face shape + RBF (resting bitch face).

Good luck and Godspeed to everyone resisting making another purchase!

Got into a PhD program, here’s my last haul for a while

This is my little reward for surviving my second round of PhD applications, this time with an acceptance from my dream program! I won’t be shopping much while in my program and don’t anticipate being Rouge next year.

Huda Strawberry Latte palette

I only bought 1 thing when the sale started in case in ran out did BOPIS. I am tan/dark complexion and when switched I wasn’t wowed however I wore today for my birthday and it is stunning.

I want the cream as I tried it in store of course it was sold out already. I will end up ordering it. It’s the perfect mauve for me …I do wish there was a single color that is similar to the blush that isn’t the quad it’s a bit bulky for how I store my makeup and honestly don’t need the highlighter which is why I don’t really buy palettes. Today I used the highlighter as shadow with some bronzer in crease. I used the other colors layered on top of each other that’s why I want to find 1 color I don’t think I need 3 similar shades.

Wore V&R Pretty Peony to keep with the theme.

However, love this color family.

Thoughts about Givenchy?

Has anyone tried any Givenchy products? I’m really considering this highlighter during the sale but it’s just so expensive… is Givenchy worth it? Have you tried any of their other products?

I have oily/dehydrated skin with rosacea- love the DM balm in universal but all of these products are new to me.

Recommendations for an everyday sunscreen that doesn’t feel super greasy

I currently use La Roche Posay Anthelios SPF 50 under my makeup for everyday, and I find it to be very greasy and shiny. If I’m going outside or will be in the sun for long periods I like this sunscreen, but I’m looking for something with high SPF but with less of that obvious greasy feel some sunscreens give. Most of my makeup is silicone based as well for reference.

Thanks!

What foundation is worth splurging?

I’m all out of foundation and skin tint so I want to take a chance on this sale. However, I’m really not sure what to get yet. For foundation, im so torn between Haus Labs, Armani, Dior Backstage, and Dior Forever Skin Glow. For skin tint, I’m eyeing Tower 28, ciele, and saie slip tint.

For reference, I have acne-prone, sensitive, combo skin with texture. I get dry areas here and there from time to time. I’ve tried HL and both Dior (samples from Sephora). HL is okay but it cling onto my dry patches and smile lines. Dior did the same thing but not as much as HL. Also, im not sure if I have olive overtone too 😭 I’m 190 in HL but I can also get away with 2.5n in dior.

I’d really appreciate any input or recommendations!

Danessa Myricks blurring balm & sale recommendations?

Hey everyone!

I’m curious about people’s experiences with the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Balm Powder. I was thinking of getting the tinted version, but I’m not sure how it performs as a foundation. Does it actually give enough coverage and wear well on its own? Or is it better to go with the universal shade and use it as a primer under foundation?

Also would love recommendations for oily to combo skin, mainly skin tints and setting sprays!

Products I’m currently considering:

• Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Balm Powder

• Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation

• Huda Beauty Easy Blur Primer

• Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Setting Powder

• Huda Beauty Easy Bake Setting Spray

• Kulfi Main Match Concealer

• Lys No Limits Contour Stick

Would really appreciate any honest reviews or combos that work well together, especially if you have oily skin!

Tubing mascara: Hourglass vs Urban Decay

Help me out - which tubing mascara should I get for the sale? I have short, straight lashes.

Very curious about your experiences with either! Or is there something else I’m missing?
