So I sold my old Streamdeck to a person through E-Bay. The same day that he paid I went to DHL and delivered the package. 1.5 weeks after, the status of the package didnt change, it still said "waiting to be picked up". The buyer informed me that in his account also no updates were recieved so I contacted DHL and I filled a formulary to find my package.
After 1 month DHL payed me the 80 EUR my package was worth as a compensation for losing my package.

Another month passed (so 2 months now) and now I recieve a message saying that my package finally arrived to the destination but since they payed me the 80 euros already I should transfer them back this amount in 14 days max.

I sent a customer service formulary saying that this was outrageous and I refuse to pay back. They took 2 months for a perfectly legal and normal package smaller than a shoe box within the same country (Germany). And because of their mistake I dont have the product anymore, the buyer obviously doesnt want to pay for it because it was 2 months ago that he needed it and on top of that they expect me to pay them back for their mistake.

My question is: What happens if I just dont pay them back the 80 EUR they sent me?

TL:DR Sold a Streamdeck on eBay, shipped via DHL in Germany. Package got lost for 2 months, DHL compensated me €80. Asking what happens if I just don't pay them back.

Ich habe meinen alten Streamdeck über eBay an jemanden verkauft. Am selben Tag, an dem er bezahlt hat, bin ich zu DHL gegangen und habe das Paket aufgegeben. 1,5 Wochen später hatte sich der Status des Pakets nicht verändert – es stand immer noch „wartet auf Abholung". Der Käufer teilte mir mit, dass er in seinem Konto ebenfalls keine Updates erhalten hatte, also kontaktierte ich DHL und füllte ein Formular aus, um mein Paket zu finden.

Nach einem Monat zahlte mir DHL 80 EUR als Entschädigung für den Verlust meines Pakets.

Ein weiterer Monat verging (also insgesamt 2 Monate) und jetzt erhalte ich eine Nachricht, dass mein Paket endlich am Zielort angekommen ist – aber da sie mir bereits die 80 Euro gezahlt haben, soll ich diesen Betrag innerhalb von maximal 14 Tagen zurücküberweisen.

Ich habe ein Kundenservice-Formular ausgefüllt und mitgeteilt, dass ich das für eine Unverschämtheit halte und die Rückzahlung verweigere. Sie haben 2 Monate für ein völlig normales und unproblematisches Paket kleiner als ein Schuhkarton innerhalb Deutschlands gebraucht. Und wegen ihres Fehlers habe ich das Produkt nicht mehr, der Käufer möchte es verständlicherweise nicht mehr haben, weil er es vor 2 Monaten gebraucht hätte – und obendrein erwarten sie, dass ich für ihren Fehler zahle.

Meine Frage ist: Was passiert, wenn ich ihnen die 80 EUR einfach nicht zurückzahle?

TL;DR: Streamdeck über eBay verkauft, Versand per DHL innerhalb Deutschlands. Paket ging 2 Monate lang verloren, DHL hat mich mit 80 € entschädigt. Jetzt ist das Paket doch noch angekommen und DHL will die 80 € innerhalb von 14 Tagen zurück – aber der Käufer will es nach 2 Monaten nicht mehr, ich habe den Artikel nicht mehr, und das alles war DHLs Fehler. Frage: Was passiert, wenn ich einfach nicht zurückzahle?

Edit: Die 80 Euro entsprechen dem Betrag, für den ich mein Produkt verkauft habe, inklusive Versand. Ich habe dem Käufer natürlich sein Geld zurückerstattet, da er seine Bestellung 2 Monate lang nicht erhalten hat. Das Geld aus dem Verkauf habe ich also selbstverständlich nicht behalten
