My first Goldwing. Behold: this is Colossus, my $2500 '88 GL1500 with 71k miles.

I'm glad I don't skip leg day, because this hefty 880lb sumbitch is absolutely MASSIVE. I thought the F6C Valkyrie and Stratoliner 1900 I had were heavy fellas, but man this thing is huge. That being said, this is the cheapest, oldest and biggest bike I've ever owned, and so far I love everything about it. US129 tail of the dragon was on my path home, and I couldn't believe how fast this was able to handle that road. I've rode/drove the dragon nearly 100 times, but I was totally blown away by how quick and nimble this brick is.

*EVERYTHING WORKS*. This thing is 38 years old and all of the speakers, cruise control and other electronics all function flawlessly. I do need new running light bulbs, various trim pieces and a new windshield though, as the extension the previous owner put on cracked the top, and the handlebars bump the sides. Otherwise, I totally understand these bikes now. My Valkyrie gave me a taste of old Hondas and the glorious 1520 flat 6, but this Goldwing will probably be one of many down the line.

I've been wearing my Monolith-patched KommandoStore Red Dawn Gorka jacket and Polimaster PM1208 geiger counter watch today in reference, and this cigar's to honor the legacy of the disaster and the people who were effected by it.
