$1.7 trillion is literally riding on the next SpaceX Starship launch. Is it the biggest gamble in history?

The twelfth Starship flight test comes amid reports that SpaceX could file its IPO prospectus as soon as this week ahead of an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in June. Can they proceed with its blockbuster initial public offering even if the 12th Starship test fails?

Is it better to look for friends or to look for a girlfriend with the purpose of starting a family?

I hope this is not offensive. I am coming from curiosity side. I don't remember ever purposely looking for friends. Maybe I never had real friends, but in the moment, your acquaintances can feel like friend(s). I know I was looking for a girlfriend, then her friends became my acquaintances. I had acquaintances in school, in college, at work. So, what I mean, you have people around, sometimes without specific effort. When I got married, my extended family became my friends. My question is, what exactly the situation when you don't have people around you (friends or acquaintances)?

Did peer pressure during your youth have changed the way you look and behave in your adult life?

I think there is a correlation between the percentage of people on a street that look and behave conforming to some standards ("normal") and the level of peer pressure in society. Of course, I realize that "normal" would be very different for different cultures and different groups of people, but still, you will sense a significant effort (or lack of it) to conform to some kind of standard.

How to tell someone who makes horrible sounds while eating in an office?

My solution was to put on headphones and increase the music volume while he was making his sounds.

He helped me a lot at work and I would never risk making him an enemy of mine.

But how do other people approach it?

▲ 10 r/GERD+1 crossposts

This is for people who are struggling to maintain the required calory intake because of severe GERD symptoms. For my story, my body apparently freaked out after endoscopy showed a possible Barrett’s esophagus, sending me to hospital twice with severe pains. In the beginning, buckwheat was my first savvier. I went from my normal 165 lb to 149 lb, lost a lot of muscles, really looked like shit. I was slowly adding things to my buckwheat. It took me 2 years to get to a maintainable 154 lb. Gluten-free, fat-free, GERD-friendly diet - this is what kept me pain-free.
In the end, this is what my daily breakfast bowl looks like:
2 cups of buckwheat, 1/2 cup of quinoa, 1/2 pear, a slice of papaya, 1/2 banana, a pinch of pine nuts and a spoon of olive oil. I also added a half pack of Roasted Seaweed Snacks.

After starting doing exercise to strengthen my esophageal sphincter (30° incline down, chewing gum for 5 min (before breakfast) ), I was able to get to a comfortable 156 lb.

I remember in 7th grade, a teacher told us that those who were mature enough could start reading Jack London: The Little Lady of the Big House. Being obsessed with everything about the opposite sex, I was all over this book. I think I've found the spot when the old lady, a former prostitute, teaches the young lady how to keep her man on desire leash.

I think it is important sometimes to understand the triggers and nuances of the opposite sex physiology.

For example, for me, the sexiest memory is from my youth, when I was on vacation and met an older woman. Strangely, I never experienced the same later on. Somehow she was obsessed with my penis. She was playing with it, even talking to it as if it was a separate entity from me.

I feel that early encounters are the nicest and the most selfless memories.
But I was kind of clumsy at a time and would want to come back and fix it somehow.
