Bike name (final) update

This is a follow up to my earlier post about naming my hobby project-bike.

After your many suggestions, for which you are all very much thanked, I decided on:

-cicli Medusa
-pieve nel Bosco instead of cappello ( for obvious reasons )

Thank you for your input and I will show the finished result when done!

Painting a steel frame

Aaa-hoihoi, I repainted a vintage steel frame and the primer worked great, the color coverage too but I did a 2K clear coat and don’t love the coverage, there are a lot of spots where the clear coat is too thin and not glossy but rather gritty.

Now, could I just clean the dried frame with a rag and apply an extra coat or would I need to do something to the coating?

Bike name translation UPDATE.

A few days ago I asked for input on an Italian translation for my bike name. I settled on Di meduse because my last name refers to a jellyfish. In the meantime I designed a logo with the Medusa incorporated because it’s a cooler icon than a jellyfish ;-) thanks for the help. Bonus picture: I painted my bike on Ferrari azure

Events

When I started cycling 7 years ago I did a lot of cyclo’s to change up my rides. Up until last year I did a lot of gravel events because it’s not very easy to build good gravel routes.

This year however, I haven’t yet entered a gravel event because these prices are truly getting out of hand. I get the rising costs but 35 euro’s to get a GPX, fill my water bottle and get a waffle from Aldi is insane.

It even used to be that you would get sport bars at the stops but even those are no longer included.

And I know, you can enter gravel events organized by MTB clubs for 9 euro’s or so. But usually those suck bigly.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

Bike name translation

Buongiorno my Italian friends!

I am restoring a bike to ride the Eroica in Italy.
I want to name my bike something Italian after respraying but I want to make sure I put something correct on my bike.

So, this just to say I want to Italianise my name. My name is roughly translated in English as ‘of jellyfish’ (plural)

Can I name it ‘Di Medusa’? I google translated it as ‘Di Meduse’ but I like the A more

Maybe you populist bitches should stop wanking about out socialist welfare state while posting that you ‘only’ make 5000 euro’s a month.

Yes we pay a lot of taxes but paying 50 euro’s to get cancer treatment is also a thing. So if you want to pay less, be our guest to move to the US and pay 20.000 to get a syringe. But until then…please fuck off.

As many of you probably went on a ride today: I did the 160 km Duvel tour on my vintage bike. Excellent event, excellent day out :10/10

Do you have experience with the Proximus fiber box and a Unifi Gateway? I have Telenet ATM and would like to switch to fiber but I’m wondering if setup is straightforward. I have a modem only Telenet device so I would use my Proximus box without the router capabilities.

I heard that you need to connect your TV-box thingy directly to the fiber box, is this true?

I googled my questions but only encountered pretty complex answers, so I am interested to hear if it truly is difficult or if there is an easy way to connect
