This German blue ram is pretty territorial over this corner and the leaf behind my filter. It also has a pretty round belly, with a sticking out part. Could she be ready to lay eggs?

My first ever pair of German blue rams!
90L high tech community aquarium, had it for 4 1/2 months now!

I had 2 honey gouramis and last week one died, I think because of a bacterial infection but I can’t confirm. All my nitrite and ammonia are 0.0 and I have about 10 mg/l nitrate, I have had my aquarium for 4 months now

This gourami is struggling to swim and gets sent through the aquarium by my filter, is swimming sideways sometimes and just cant do anything anymore…

What could this be and what can I do to decrease the chances of this happening ever again?
