Behringer BDI21 or Caline CP-60?

Hey, I'm planning on buying a cheap DI preamp to add onto my pedalboard to gig with in my cover band (mainly rock/pop-rock songs), and these are the two pedals I'm interested in purchasing.

I was originally going to purchase the BDI21 (~$40) as it has really good sound quality while sacrificing build quality. Then I found the CP-60 for just $10 more. Based on the AI overview, it says the CP-60 has better build quality (metal case) but similar tone. I can't really trust the AI summary so I want your guys' advice on which DI preamp I should buy.

Wind of Fjords Cover

Song artwork made by me!

I made this back in 2023. Chill edm cover of wind of fjords/telamon's song. Wish I made it a little better, it feels pretty empty in my opinion. Just wanted to share it with everyone here :)

Stopped listening one year ago. Revisited HMHAS and it made me emotional again

First image: Painting I made of HMHAS cover when I was 14. Sold it for $60. This might've been the best painting I've ever done as I've never blender colors like this before. I still miss it :_)

Second image: Limited edition HMHAS splatter cd! This has to be my most prized possession of hers. I got it for $14, listings are selling it for $60+ or more! I have it on display in my room right now.

Just some yap about my personal experience with Billie :)

Some background information; I've been listening to Billie Eilish since her WWAFAWDWG era in 2019 when bad guy was her most played song. There was a short period when I didn't listen to all her songs, but then she dropped HTE and she became my top favorite artist to ever touch this earth. Eventually I did start removing some of her songs from my playlist a year or two later after HTE released, but I did keep Happier Than Ever (the song), Therefore I am, NDA, and a couple others on my playlist. I think I was a much bigger fan when she released HMHAS. The best album that has ever released. All 10 songs instantly went into my playlist, though a year later and only two remained. (BOAF and L'amour). This simply showed I didn't listen to her anymore and I started moving on to new genres. I was sad about this.

Fast forward to recent times; I was watching a video of the HMHAS tour when she played Birds of a feather. Every time I listen to that song, it feels new, just like how I felt with Happier than Ever. I nearly cried listening to BOAF during that concert. I just love her voice.

I used to be such a huge fan. She would be the only person I'd listen to since 2019. I was so sad I missed out on the HMHAS tour, but tickets were freaking EXPENSIVE.

The reason why I stopped listening to her music, was simply because I was 'getting older' (no pun intended) and my taste in my music changed from pop/r&b, to more rock and metal music. Rock music would be the only thing I'd listen to, like Linkin Park, MCR, and Muse. Only recently like 1-2 weeks ago, I started listening to her songs in Don't Smile At Me and Happier Than Ever. Just yesterday I listened to BOAF in that tour, and I felt this nostalgic feeling as if I first listened to this album. It was such a great feeling. It's also kind of funny because I began listening to it again almost exactly 2 years later! (May 17).

Even after all these years, I still memorize nearly all her songs and could name any song by the first 5 seconds. Good to know she's never leaving my head lol.

Thanks for listening to my yap, just wanted to share this! :)

[KF2] Is there a quicker way to open these?

Sometimes they're bugged too. I open one and it works fine, but then I open another one and it just freezes and doesn't give me anything. The number also doesn't go down. I already opened 2 and it's still at 35.

I'm going to see Muse in July. I've heard parking is really annoying and spots get taken up real fast, so for people who have been there or had lawn tickets before, how early should I arrive? Concert starts at 7:00PM

I at least want to get the first couple of rows since I still want to see the band with my eyes, not through a screen. I'm fine with waiting a couple hours, I just don't know how early other people will wait too.

I just wrote a research project the day before it's due. I put it in like 5 different AI checkers, and it was flagged 60-90% AI every time. I don't know what to do. It's not my fucking fault I sound robotic and repetitive?? Am I not supposed to sound that way for a research paper???

Luckily it's on docs and it has the feature where you can see edits, but still, extremely annoying. I'm probably going to have a chat with my teacher about it.

I don't understand. Why would she use an AI checker, when the AI checker using AI itself? Kind of hypocritical if you think about it. If I get a 0 on this simply because AI thought my paper was AI, I'm getting this teacher in trouble. I've hated her this entire year. 5 sentences minimum on study guide with 20+ questions. This is the only class where I have any work.

I feel like it has to do with commas. I type so many commas in my essays, and apparently it's robotic and AI to use commas.

I use this format: "John likes to eat apples, bananas, and grapes". Apparently, this way is AI.

Non AI version: "John likes to eat apples, bananas and grapes". Feels wrong, it is wrong.

I hate that I need to worry about my paper being ai.

So fucking annoying. What do I even do in this situation??

FUCK AI.

I bought this pedalboard a couple days ago because it was just a great deal that I couldn't ignore. Got this used Ghostfire board for $50, case and everything.

I'm 15 and I don't have a job, so I don't really have a stable income and I rely on allowance and tips from gigs. (I got around $60 tips which is why I bought this pedalboard)

Anyways, I am saving up for a polytune 3 tuner and a sansamp DI to buy later this year. But for now, I have these two pedals and a big board. My next gigs are on June 13 and 15 so I don't know if I should bring my pedalboard with me, or just use the two pedals by themselves. I had a gig earlier today, and I only brought my two pedals. It was alright not carrying a bulky board, but there were wires everywhere and I didn't know which wire was for what part.

I would like to bring my board with me, but I don't want it to seem overkill and not worth bringing this huge board for something so little. It feels like buying a huge house just to own cheap and used furniture. Big board, big disappointment.

What can I do in this situation?

New gear!

I just got this Ghostfire standard 1.5 for around $50 on ebay. I know it's not much, but it was a great deal. I'm planning on getting a DI preamp some time in June and eventually a tuner.

(PS I put this all together in under 3 minutes, you can see the patch cable loose in the muff lol)

Hey! This is my first complete gaming setup as a 15 year old. Younger me would so happy right now.

Saved up all this over time. I first bought the keyboard and mouse, and slowly upgraded throughout the years. The cats on top of my pc (specifically the black one) has been with me since day 1, around 2023.

------------------------------------

Some specs:

PC - Ryzen 5 5600, 9060XT, 32GB ddr4 ram, montech XR case

Keyboard: Keychron v1 max, WS Morandi switches, Yunzii coffee keycap switches, Duckeys keycaps

Mouse: Logitech G502 lightspeed

Monitors: KTC 27" 1440p 210hz monitor & my old Thinkvision 1080p 60hz monitor for the vertical one

I play osu, so I have a Wacom CTL 472 drawing tablet (above my mouse) and Sayodevice O3C magnetic switch keypad

I also make music! I have an older gen AKAI mpk mini midi controller and a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen audio interface.

Also Mike Shinoda plush :)

------------------------------------

Anything you guys suggest I add/remove? I know my cable management isn't great at all, but I also travel to places a lot and bring certain cables with me that are currently plugged into my pc.

I made a carrd with links to nearly everything in my setup! carrd
