After almost 14 years, I've built myself a PC again, and I smile every time I enter the room.
I'm coming from an i7 2700K and a GTX 1070 (which lasted almost 14 years) to this one <3
I wanted something relatively clean but still performant. What do you think? :)

The workhorse.
This beast is old enough to buy a gun and defend me in my sleep. It has seen viruses that it has outlived, it has seen me prosper in games since I was but a boy. This marvel of engineering wasn’t bought, it was inherited; this is a priceless heirloom that pleads for the permission to finally turn into a dusty brick or spontaneously combust. It pleads to an apathetic master that only orders it to clock another 500 hours in a random game that seeks its doom in the form of graphic advancements that move past it in a frenzy. My pc wants to slaughter me in an explosion as much as I seek to prolong its torture of running shaders on Minecraft. It’s a testament to the stubbornness of humankind and apathy to those who don’t walk in flesh.
Waited 10 years for something like this
Finally pulled the trigger and treated myself to something top of the line.
5080, Ryzen 7 9850x3d, 32gigs 6000mhz ddr5
Coming from an i7 10700 and 6650xt.
Isn't she a beauty? 12 year old me would flip if he saw
My AM4 gaming pc 🗿
Ryzen 7 5700X + B550M + RTX 5060 with 16GB DDR4 Budget build of 2026
My first build
I came from a old prebuilt by ibuypower with a Gtx 1060 and 8gb ddr4,
Now I have in my opinion a good looking one with way more power.
If you’re Interested in specs:
AIO: Thermaltake Frozen infinity 360
CPU: Intel i5 12400f
GPU: MSI rtx 5060ti 8gb
Ram: crucial ddr5 pro
Mainboard: salvaged from a Lenovo Legion tower
PC KEEPS FREEZING
hello everyone, I’ve been having a repetitive problem with my pc freezing during any game. It will run for about 1-3 mins then a full wide freeze where I can’t do anything besides manually powering it off or waiting a couple minutes for the pc to figure out its frozen and reboot itself. Bought this prebuilt of jawa and ran flawlessly for the first week now this is happening… cannot report a return as jawa only has 48 hour money back guarantee and no rma. I have tried to reseat the ram, disable overclocks, reseat psu cables (everything is in tight) taken out gpu and replugged back in, swapped ssd to the second slot (originally was at the first) and non have worked. Should I just take it to a local technician to get it diagnosed??? here’s a picture of temps/wattages while it’s freezing maybe some of you would catch something

My first PC build and I couldn’t be any happier.

The 50 series cards genuinely have my jaw on the floor.
I used to have an rtx 3080 FE and was running cyberpunk on high with no raytracing, getting about 40-50fps with occasional lag spikes. Now I’m running a 5070 OC and a ryzen 7 9800x3d with path tracing on max settings getting 100fps and with no pathtracing on getting 210fps. It’s genuinely insane. Both at 1440p and exact same settings btw (besides obviously pathtracing isn’t on the 3080) also this is my first ever build, my last one someone else built for me but this one I did on my own. Just wanted to share because it’s actually insane to me and it feels like a different game honestly with no lag or frame drops
EDIT:
Apparently I have a thing called frame generation on for this, which the latency isn’t noticeable for cyberpunk so I’m very happy with it. With frame generation turned off and path tracing still on I still get 60-65fps stable which I’m still very impressed with
Before->after
Im glad i put some money in for looks, aio+more fans looks much better imo
Hey, i just got my Subscription PC from NZXT
Its been a while since i've had a proper PC, always more of a console gamer
Are these good specs?

Really surprised on how well this pc was pre configured. Didn’t have to worry about bloatware and overall this thing is a beast. Now I wait for gta6 😭
I turned a PC into a Swiss accordion… it only boots if you play the right melody
Alright… now that the contest is officially over, I can finally share this build.
I wanted to combine PC modding with my job as an instrument maker (I build traditional Swiss accordions / Schwyzerörgeli).
It escalated a bit.
Here’s a short clip showing the power-on and the bellows mechanism:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Ilp4ohFfveQ
The Swiss Harmonic Engine
Concept
The goal wasn’t to just put wood on a PC, but to make it actually feel like an instrument.
- Walnut as the main material
- Maple inlays (classic instrument style)
- Gold/brass accents
And yeah… a custom loop had to be part of it.
(The sponsored AIO had to suffer quite a bit for that… it used to be an AIO.)
Features
Motorized bellows
At some point I thought:
“If it’s an accordion-inspired build… it needs bellows.”
So now it has:
- A motorized front
- Linear actuators
- Hidden USB hub behind it
Completely unnecessary.
Works great.
Musical power button
Instead of a normal power button:
- 13 buttons
- Each plays a note
- You need to play the correct sequence to turn the PC on
Yes, you can lock yourself out of your own PC.
Yes, that already happened.
Cooling (slightly cursed)
The contest required using a sponsored AIO.
So naturally I:
- modified it
- integrated it into a custom loop
So it’s not a “from scratch” custom loop…
but the AIO probably wouldn’t recognize itself anymore.
Goal was still:
- quiet
- good performance
(with an external radiator helping out)
Build process
A lot of time went into details:
- CNC machining
- Laser-cut inlays
- manual finishing
The goal was to keep it close to real instrument craftsmanship and avoid the typical “wood panel PC” look.
What’s next
Not done yet:
- GPU upgrade planned
- more details and refinements
Montech Heritage Pro Black Build
Transferred my Dell Dimension Sleeper Build into a Montech Heritage Pro Black for my new living room! I wanted something with a wood panel initially to go with all the wood paneling in the room but I thought the leather here looked really slick!
It was a pretty smooth case to build in since it's pretty big for mATX and my only real gripe is the fact that once the mobo is in you CAN'T get the CPU connector in or out without removing the mobo again.
I'm also not huge on the one glass strip but it's not bad looking by any means. I just didn't want glass at all.
The leather handle also has grown on me and unfortunately if you remove the mounts for it there's just bare case underneath with no leather.
Specs are:
ASRock B650M-C
Random non-modular 850W Gold PSU
7800X3D
280mm pure loop be quiet! AiO
Gigabyte 4070 Ti Super
Crucial 32GB DDR5
I also used the four case fans this came with and added one more 120mm fan along the bottom so there's two 140mm on the side, one 120mm exhaust, two 120mm on the bottom for intake, and the 280mm AiO mounted up top for intake
Sharpie Build
Tried my skills at shading and blending with a black sharpie, some alcohol, and an old sock to get the effect I wanted to make this computer look drawn up sitting there and I think it turned out great…
Thanks for viewing!
Hello, I just got this pc and am curious if these cables need to be plugged in somewhere?

For months Ive been hesitating to buy a new case.. Change things because it's fun. After messing around a bit with options, I came to this result. Very happy with the result! Such a small change but feels like a big change. While at it, I did the base station of the fractal design scape dark also.
