What are your best expierences to promote an iOS indie game (premium, no F2P)
Hey everyone,
we’re about to release the successor to our 13-year-old game Alien Tribe 2. Back then it actually did pretty well and even reached Top 20 in the Games category in several countries.
A lot has changed since then though — especially in how games are marketed.
So I’m curious:
What works today when promoting a paid game in a niche genre like 4X real-time strategy?
- What would you consider must-haves (e.g. youtube video, website, etc.)?
- What has worked well for you personally?
- And what do you think is overrated or not worth the effort anymore?
Would really appreciate hearing your experiences, especially from other indie devs who launched paid games for iOS in the last few years.
