What my eye doc said about steroids
I went to my eye doc yesterday to have her check out my eye eczema and my vision. She told me that it is safe to use steroids around my eyes. I told her about the fear of skin thinning and glaucoma. She did acknowledge that but also added that those things only happen when you use steroids for long periods of time. She also said that if steroids were so dangerous, then eye drops with steroids wouldn't exist, but they do. (I actually thought about that because I've used eye drops with steroids before for allergies, and that makes sense.)
Just thought I would throw this out there in case anyone else has eye eczema and fear of using steroids in that area.
