QUAKE will (probably) sadly never return, because NuDOOM isn't DOOM, Its Quake

DOOM 3, DOOM 2016, and DOOM: Eternal are all Quake games, not DOOM games.

DOOM games are iconic for extremely limited movement. You can move fast but you can't jump or even look up and down. This was the case with Wolf3D and are, obviously, engine limitations. Quake comes out and revolutionizes everything.

Unlike Wolfenstein which (To my knowledge of RTCW and my experience with TNO/TNC) reworks the physics and gameplay for a more tactical, unique feel, DOOM has just adopted Quakes physics and movement identity.

I can't really explain it, but 3 and 2016 have physics and character controls similar to Quake and play more like Quake than DOOM. Eternal is a more evolved 2016, and therefore a more evolved Quake rather than DOOM.

The only NuDOOM this doesn't apply to is DOOM: The Dark Ages, which plays a lot more like 1993s DOOM than Quake. You're very fast horizontally but pretty weak vertically.

Could Quake return? Probably. But its identity has dissolved into the groundwork for DOOM, and since Eternal has peaked in gameplay, ID probably won't revisit Quake, let alone a Quake-based NuDOOM until they can somehow innovate on Eternals formula

Ken is tragic but still the villain. He dodged a red flag but tried to murder Barry who, despite being a bee, was mentally and, iirc at that point in the movie, legally seen as human as he was able to sue the company. He tried to commit murder over Barry. Once again, hes more tragic than evil, but still the big bad for trying to murder a human-level sapient creature.

Death from Puss in Boots 2; the Last Wish. I think its died down but the idea that hes "just hunting Puss in Boots because its his job" misunderstood the movie. Puss in Boots hadn't actually died yet. He died eight times and had one more life. Death was just mad that he was arrogant and wanted to kill him early before it was his time. "But it was to teach him a lesson!" He reacts with anger and says Puss is ruining it when he changes, not satisfaction that Puss came around to appreciate life.

edit: don't leave just a gif and name, tell me why

Deltarunes' main antagonist is the Roaring Knight, whose been built up since the very first chapter of the game. We fight them directly in Chapter 3 and they summon the Roaring in Chapter 4. They are the big bad. But we don't know their identity.

Popular theories include Dess, Noelles lost sister who went missing before the games events and Carol, Noelles mother. It could be Asriel too, as he went off to college before the game started.

However one popular theory that gets tossed around ironically and unironically is Papyrus, a character from Undertale.

I do not kid or joke when I say this is the "Flat Earth" of not only Deltarune Theories, but I'd go as far as to say that this is the "Flat Earth" theory of the entire gaming theorist world. Its not that its a dumb theory, it is, there are plenty of theories and some that are even dumber like the infamous Sans is Ness. Its the fact that this theory is so beloved and considered canon by people.

Mostly, why would Toby Fox make Papyrus the Knight? Undertale characters do exist in Deltarune, but all of the main characters of the game such as Kris, Susie, Ralsei, Noelle, Berdly, Lancer, Carol, The King, The Queen, Jevil, Spamton, Tenna, Mike, so on and so on are all Deltarune-exclusive. While its theorized they exist in Undertale, they probably wouldn't resemble the way they do.

And while some Undertale have some major roles in teh game (given the Knight kidnapped Undyne and Asriels expected to return in Chapter 5 afaik), they never exactly overshadow the Deltarune characters.

Along with this, Papyrus has not yet appeared in the game. You can ask Sans (Beloved Undertale Character, Papyrus's brother) to see Papyrus since Chapter 3, and you've been rejected each time, teasing the player about him.

So, for PapyrusKnight to not be bad writing from a pretty consistently good author, he would have to go back in time and add in Papyrus. Because if Papyrus is absent from the game up until being revealed as the Knight, it wouldn't be fair as theres no real "actual" evidence and Papyrus hasn't been established in Deltarune at all. If hes revealed and suddenly exposition-dumped in the future, it would make it obvious, even more if Toby actually did go back in time and add in Papyrus.

Overall, I hate this theory. I remember somebody genuinely arguing te points and all I could think about was that i hated that I had to be rational and polite to them when they argued the most bat shit but not technically harmful thing insane theory I've ever heard.

I hate papyrus knight. I hate the fact it exists. I hate the person who started it even if as a joke, and I hate anyone who believes in it with an undying passion.
