TIL that Bloo got an Imaginary Friend deported after framing him for a prank…
I completely block this out after not watching the show since I was a kid. Bloo was menace 💀💀💀

It’s a sentiment that I’ve always come across and honestly it’s such an echo chamber of an opinion that it’s honestly just sad. Before anyone takes this the wrong way because sometimes people either tend to misinterpret things or they’re about as dense as a brick wall. So to be clear, these characters above me are not perfect and I’m not saying that they’re exempt from criticism. My thing is that people are doing it wrong.
Like I am not exaggerating when I say that people actually made these Kinds of claims about these characters. Firstly, Velma exists so they’re far from the worst in terms of protagonist. Heck when you really get down to it, they’re not really bad characters. Flawed characters yes but I’ve seen characters in shows and movies who are more morally worst than these guys and other characters. Also if we can’t give these characters grace whenever their imperfections come through but everyone else whether it’s through personal bias, pretty privileges, etc gets a pass for the many or few atrocities they caused then we are doomed as a species.
Again I’m not even kidding when I say all this:
Charlie has gotten a bad rap throughout the second season (which some of it is fair), and she has been lacking sympathy from the audience while other flawed characters either get a slap on the wrist or characters you’re supposed to hate gets more love.
Mable can be a bit much at times but I swear people treated her like she’s was the literal worst character when that’s literally not the case. Even people siding with Bill Cipher at one point all because he was pointing out how much Dipper has done for her. Like why are we taking a manipulative villain’s words as actual facts? 😭
Marinette? Shoot. You don’t wanna know what her deal is. But I have more than enough posts that goes into more detail.
Korra, honestly I can just say the Korra vs Aang debate and the rest will write itself.
These 4 (as well as other characters) are an example of how much media literacy has taken a toll. Like if they’re not misunderstanding characters, they’re making false claims about them. If they’re not doing that, they’re propping up other characters to make them look worse than they actually are. If they’re not doing that, they’re blowing things out of proportion and making them look worse than they actually are.
I’m not saying you have to like these characters. Like whoever you want. But let’s not downplay/ignore the good things and the development these characters do get. Like some of it is valid criticism but some of it is either overblown, easily debunked by actual watching the show, or it’s not a writing/character problem but more of a personal/you problem.
So whenever someone feels the need to criticize something, take a second and ask yourself: “Is this issue I’m having a genuine writing problem or is it just a me thing?” If it’s the former, okay that’s valid but if it’s the latter, then there’s nothing wrong with the media you’re consuming it’s just a you thing and that’s okay because everyone has their preferences. But don’t punish or shame others for liking a character especially when they’re not as bad as you make them out to be.
I love classic Pixar movies and Dreamworks killed it with Shrek, but my biggest gripe is how once computer animation dominated the box office, the general public lost interest in 2D animation. Every single one of these movies listed above here flopped at the box office because they were unable to compete against Pixar's stunning cgi, and Sinbad flopped so badly that Dreamworks quit 2D animation for good. It's honestly sad how this medium's rarely made anymore in hollywood and how forgotten some of these movies have become. If these movies never flopped, 2D animation would be common today as it was back in the 90s.
Online everyone loves to bash timmy turner or jimmy neutron for legitimate but mostly unlegitimate for stupid reasons. Usually because of memes or gifs.
Who do you think gets more undeserved hate?
Like genuinely funny moments and it could be just a joke or line delivery or whatever.
