In your experience were you able to find work once you had a registered address in the country you moved to, or you were able to secure a job before registering your address abroad?

For context, I have EU citizenship, do not speak German well enough to apply for jobs that require it. My field is IT support and Adminisration. Moving from the US to Vienna.

8 weeks for us is our limit. we have so much emotional missing, it feels worse every time we have to separate. this time I feel like I need to shorten our time apart to 7 weeks. its still so long.

travel is expensive. how do we all do this? I love him and could never think of losing him. we are both so fragile.

My partner and I are currently trying to figure out when we can close the gap. i'm moving to him and I'm looking for work. In your experience do you think it's better to find work before I arrive or live there first and look?

I feel like any job I apply for, if they see that I live in a different country it reduces my chances. Even if I say I'm relocating and I have dual EU citizenship. Im moving from New york to Austria.

How many of you work remote vs in office? I'm in the process of looking. My plan is to relocate by the end of the year. My fiance lives close to Vienna.

Did you find work before you moved or after? I have 19 years of experience in IT support and administration. I'm 44.

I have italian citizenship (moving from the Northeast US). And also learning German but I likely won't pick this up fully till I live there.
