Will factory resetting my laptop after downloading a chrome extension that ended up being fake wipe and potential viruses?

Last week I had an assignment for my class where I also had to provide the AI chat log that used (marketing report that uses ai) . Our professor didn’t instruct us on how we could provide the chat logs to show how we made our marketing advertisement. She just said please provide the logs so I went online searching for some sort of Google Gemini chat log downloader or something like that. I came across a blog that ranked AI chat log exporters And one of them was a Google Chrome extension, so I clicked on it and it looked like there were solid reviews, and I thought it was legit. Anyways, I download the Google Chrome extension and I run it and then gets added to my computer and every time I want to click into it to try to import my Google Gemini log it never started up. Anyways, I thought that it was weird so I went in and manually removed the Google Chrome extension and made sure to delete the extension.
When I googled “chrome extension won’t pop up and computer is now slow” - advised to immediately remove the extension. However, even after doing so my computer has started to become a bit laggy. And I had just purchased this laptop back in January. It’s an Asus laptop. Is there a possibility that this extension was some sort of back door virus?

Just wondering if anyone’s professors have reached out to their students. Considering next week is finals and people like myself (and I’m sure others) have had assignments due this sat/sun.

Curious how this is all going to play out if we can’t take our finals or turn in any assignments.

Others schools seem to have it up again but def wouldn’t trust that rn. Since our IT just sent out an email 45 min ago saying it’s going to remain down for rn

Hi all!

My partner and I are starting the process of trying to buy a home next summer. We have settled on purchasing a manufactured home. We’re South Bay born and raised and would like to raise our kids here in the next 10years. We both have stable jobs (engineer & biomedical technician) and would like to stay here long term with our current companies instead of moving 2 plus hours away from family to buy a basic 3-4 bedroom home . And based on our needs and what we can afford, purchasing a condos / apartments/ townhomes are out of our price range. So please do not suggest.

Anyways we’ve gone through the numbers with our realtor and what we can afford in terms of the home plus lot fees. Based on what we’re going to be putting down, our mortgage will be between $1500-1800 depending on the rates at the time of purchase.

We’ve come across a few mobile home communities that appeal to us and are close to our jobs. If you live at any of these could you please let us know what the lot fees are for these? Not much information is readily available online. And if you have any recommendations and/or info on these parks that would be great. We’re looking to stay in the Sunnyvale/ Mountain View / North Santa Clara heading towards Alviso

Adobe Wells
Plaza del Rey
Casa de amigos
Lamplighter

Any advice is helpful thank you!

EDIT: PLEASE STOP TRYING TO CONVINCE ME NOT TO GET A MOBILE HOME. We are working with a realtor already and know what we can afford based on what WE need and what WE want. I’m just asking for personal experiences in the parks listed above plus info on lot fees (plus lot fee progression)

Hi all! I’m looking to start Muay Thai and I’m in my mid 20s (F) and I’m looking for gym recs. I want to just start out and learn technique and do some sparring. Not looking in to getting in to comps at the moment.

I don’t have any fighting background but I weight lift and used to do track and cheer (I was a flyer)

I’m open to gyms in San Jose, but maybe looking for something closer to Santa Clara/Mountain View/ Sunnyvale/ Los Gatos/ Campbell / downtown SJ

Some places that popped up on google were;
Krav zone
Xtreme martial arts & fitness zone
Dark horse gym
Rise combat sports

Thanks!!
