Hi all, I just recently read that premature branching is a sign of excess nitrogen and is also an indicator that the plant won’t ever form a caudex. The seller I bought this from had it growing in pure potting soil. Is there anything I can do to try again somehow?

If i put it out in full sun and repot with a higher mineral content mixed soil will the top growth node points shorten enough to where i can cut it off and propagate that? or is that not how they work…

Thinking that since it’s already branched prematurely and etiolated and had access to the excess nitrogen in the soil, if I can’t grow the caudex anymore I might as well keep it in pure potting soil and see how it turns out.
