Is there an increase in Americanization of British English due to influence of American pop-culture?

So I am pretty sure that in the UK just as in most of the world US pop culture is very prevalent, so my question is does it lead to Brits especially younger ones adopting US words in their daily vocabulary? For example calling Doritos chips and using the term french fries? Or calling outer pants pants and calling underpants panties? Or saying an elevator instead of lift?

Does it happen?

Do people actually care?

What do Americans think of non native speakers mixing various slangs (like southern, AAVE, classic American) with a non native accent?

So for context I am Croatian, live in Croatia and have lived here my whole life while my boyfreind is American but he moved to Croatia like 9 years ago.

He told me he finds it super cute and funny how I will mix southern, northern, African-American slangs and all that with a Croatian accent. Now he is my boyfriend so maybe he is biased but I want to know how an average American sees it. Since a lot of non-native speakers boost their language through exposure to pop culutre it often leads to knowing and mixing various slangs. Does it sound weird and unnatural?

How to make Alarm app use calendar with Monday first but also the phone to be set to US English?

So I have 2 non-negotiable requirements.

  1. Phone must use DD-MM-YYYY and Monday not Sunday as first day of the week. I was able to set the former right but not the latter, in my country we use Monday first and I cannot use the app if it's Sunday first.
  2. It must be in US English I CANNOT stand UK version where it says torch for the flashlight seeing that makes my skin crawl as this is what a torch is.

Is it possible to do this as I cannot seem to find a way to make the alarm app calendar monday first?

Is it safe to visit the US?

So I would like to visit the US solo (I am from Croatia) but I saw stories like this or this last year and I am afraid such stuff could happen to me.

I have NEVER EVER travelled abroad so I have 0 experience in it so the story about these 2 girls in Hawaii getting detained over not having had a hotel reservation is especially scary as I had no idea you should do it before you travel.

So can anybody from the US chime in, is it safe? I am a young (22) woman so I am not sure about how I am seen in an overstay risk assessment. My country is in the visa-free agreement so it's obviously seen as a less of an overstay risk but so is Germany and it did not help the 2 girls above.

I am also currently taking a break (no job or school) after dropping out of college before enrolling again this year in a new college.

I would stick to NYC.
