Hello,
I have a question : when I should use a layer to put my elements or an external event/layout or use a function ?
I mean, for example, I want to show a quest window, is it a layer or an external event ? And what is the difference between them ?
For a tab menu I used Layer but is it the best way to do ?
Actually I have a lot of question about optimisation because I have several things which are similaire that I code one per one... And I always wonder if it's not too heavy and could make lag the game...
Sorry for the newbie question...
Hello,
I'm doing my own game but for now, I'm using some assets I bought on itch.io. As it's easier to find pixel art asset, I'm doing my all game in pixel art.
But I was thinking about replacing some assets with my own drawings... However I don't know how to do animation. I'm thinking about doing the UI first, maybe the background... And "fixed elements".
But the animated elements would stay in pixel art. Do you think it's better to replace with my own asset or to let all the game with these premade assets ?
I'm afraid that it gives an inconsistency feeling.
For information, my game is my first one and it's very easy. It's like an incremental farm to manage. The only animated things are the animals idle and the crops growing.
